Here is an article about an undersized PG the Phoenix are tracking. I agree with the article that he's a dreamer when it come to who's going to recruit him. It sounds like he does have skills and with a size 12 shoe he may very well grow 3-4 more inches. Might be a player for a mid-major to lock up as a junior before the growth spurt? Could fill the backup role of 5-10 min. per game if he doesn't get the growth spurt.

Here is an interesting article from ESPN about 5-10 point guard Jarvis Garrett from West Allis Central. Its a couple days old, but it says he has offers from GB, uwm, Creighton, North Dakota, South Dakota and "reports strong interest from USC, Marquette, Portland State, Arkansas, Idaho State, Oregon State to name a few"

ESPN has now posted a grade of 91 for Toby Hegner. Has anyone seen him play? I've seen him play each of the last 2 years. Love him. Humble kid, extremely skilled, can do everything. His team 2 years ago had very little talent, but he never let it effect him, he just keeps playing hard. He brings the ball up against the press, blocks shots, rebounds, shoots the 3 extremely well, scores in the post, and passes well. I like his game much better than Indiana recruit Luke Fischer, who I've also seen play numerous times. The only weakness Hegner has are strength, and the fact that he hasn't commited to Green Bay yet. He had a nasty bout of mono to open last season, and that stole all the muscle he put on prior to last season. He's a worker, and I'm sure he'll be much stronger next year. His game reminds of a cross betwen Mike Schactner and Alec Brown.

Add GB to list of schools that have offered 6-8 forward Luke Worthington from Homestead (Mequon, WI). Besides GB, he has offers from Toledo, Bucknell, uwm, Penn, Charlotte, Rice, Bowling Green, and Holy Cross

Add GB to list of schools that have offered 6-8 forward Luke Worthington from Homestead (Mequon, WI). Besides GB, he has offers from Toledo, Bucknell, uwm, Penn, Charlotte, Rice, Bowling Green, and Holy Cross The one time I saw him, I liked him. But I haven't seen enough to give you an honest and thorough scouting report. I will this summer on PantherU and then I'll link it here. Side note: I understand there's some message board "rivalry" where each school has fans that refuse to refer to the other by their chosen name or even capitalize their acronym, but yours would probably hold more weight if you didn't have "uwgb" lower case in your own screen name.

here's mark Miller's story from earlier in the week ( subscribers link on Toby Hegner. Since its pay material I won't share all of it, just this tidbit: It appears at this point Creighton, Green Bay, Drake and St. Louis are expressing the strongest interest in HegnerGreat to hear Wardle is still in pursuit of Hegner, as that means coach believes he still has a shot at the extremely skilled big man. Tough competition for Toby, but Green Bay will have an outstanding team for him to join. Green Bay is much closer to home than his other options. His family would be able to watch him play on a regular basis, not just in Green Bay but also close by road games in Milwaukee (multiple games some years), Madison, Chicago (at least twice a year) and Valparaiso. I can't remeber the last time Creighton, Drake, or St. Louis played in this state. The closest A-10 conference games are 6 hours away. The only decent drive for a MVC game is Northern Iowa. Those conferences rank a little higher, but wardle has overcame that by playing a killer non-conference schedule. The Horizon League has a had numerous NBA 1st round draft picks in recent years. Hegner would be in line to replace the conference's next 1st round pick, Alec Brown. Green Bay assistant Jimmie Foster has done outstanding work with developing Brown and Brennan Cougill. He'd be perfect to help develop Hegner's post game and rebounding.

That is fantastic news about Hegner that we're still in on him. In other news, Nate Taphorn and Alec Peters are in Madison taking part in Wisconsin's elite camp. Taphorn was recently given a grade of 72 by ESPN. This is probably old news but I havent noticed it before: it looks like ESPN changed up their rankings a little bit, because Toby Hegner is now rated a 68. Jordan Fouse is listed as a 88 in the old ratings. Here is the new grading system: 90-100: High-major plus prospect (5 stars) Player demonstrates rare abilities. He should have an immediate impact at a national program with the potential for early entry into the NBA.
85-89: High-major prospect (4 stars) Player is the centerpiece to a high-major program who starts three to four years.
80-84: High-major minus prospect (4 stars) Player has the potential to significantly contribute to a high-major program over four years.
70-79: Mid-major plus prospect (3 stars) Player is a fringe high-major recruit who contributes or a standout mid-level recruit.
65-69: Mid-major prospect (2 stars) Player is a multi-year starter at the mid-major level.
60-64: Mid-major minus prospect (2 stars) Player is a role player at the mid-major level.
50-59: Low-major prospect (1 star) Player is a low-major Division I prospect. GB targets and their ratings: Luke Worthington: 76 Nate Taphorn: 72 Toby Hegner: 68 Jarvis Garrett: 66 The others havent received grades yet
