Wichmann is a target of Milwaukee, but I know of two players in his class that the coaching staff is zeroing in on more.

"Wichmann is a target of Milwaukee, but I know of two players in his class that the coaching staff is zeroing in on more".
BlackP: Are you suggesting those two other players that they are zeroing in on, have better offers from UWM than the offer they extended to Wichmann?
Also, is one of those two players more of a PG or even a combo from the Metro Milwaukee area?

Jimmy, has either of those players been in for games this year?

Interesting. I guess this puts the heat on Wichman to pull the trigger.

I will neither confirm nor deny that those two are the top two targets. I will say that the staff would not be disappointed to land Wichmann should their other targets go elsewhere. He's the kind of program guy that they like to develop over four years. The reason I'm being coy is I'm working on stories for several players that will be out on PantherU over the next couple months, mostly after the season. Rest assured that every recruiting post I make regarding a player also considering Green Bay will find itself on this discussion board the same day.

I will preface by saying that I know I am a GB fan and a uwm hater. So with that said here I go... I don't think coach jeter does a great job with program guys that they like to develop over four years. Just going back over the last handful of years I would say that Anthony Hill, Ricky Franklin and Tony Meier fit that category. I would say time will tell on Ja'Rob, Shaq, Kelm and Evan Richard but they might eventually fit the bill. I don't know that Deonte Roberts, Al Hanson, Haggerty or Lonnie Boga fit the description. Compare that to James Haarsma, Kaylon Williams, Ryan Allen, Paris Gulley, Tone Boyle, James Eayers, Avery Smith, Paige Paulson, and Kevin Massiah who did not start their careers at uwm but were pretty big contributors. Not to mention a bunch of juco's and transfers that didn't pan out. I can't argue that Jeter hasn't had some good teams but I would argue he isn't exactly using four year program guys to win.

I'll argue that Jeter hasn't had success. He is on track to finish outside the conferences top 3 for the 5th time in 6 years. That's pretty sad considering he took over a sweet 16 team. If we projected the conference standings next year, I don't see any way to put UWM in the upper half of the conference, despite having a veteran roster. Jeter recruits too few 4 year players. His constant need for JuCo band-aids has left them with a low ceiling, middle of the pack roster.

I don't know that Mecca still has an offer from GB. In fact, I would guess that he doesn't. Kowalczyk offered him when he was a freshman, and I'm guessing that's where the "offer" came from on Scout.com and Rivals.com.

I don't believe Mecca has an offer any more from UWGB. I would seriously doubt that TK would still be recruiting him. Nice kid, but too passive for my taste.
I am in favor of the Botz offer.

Thanks for the info guys. I was wondering why Scout showed him as having an offer but Rivals didn't, so this makes sense. I appreciate it

I believe the coaches would give the scholarship to Cole S. A few weeks back I spoke with one of the assistant coaches and he told me Cole is a better shooter than Kam and more athletic.

Here is an article about an undersized PG the Phoenix are tracking.
