8-11 point loss. Had it been at home they would have won. Oh well at least they are on tv this year versus espn3.

Do u realize if u have cable espn3 is free
Smart tv. Roku or appletv. U can download the watch ESPN app and u get espn3 free
You see it right on ur tv with hd quality just like ESPN. Lol
This might save that one guy from going to a bar every time a game is on espn3

Illinois State was 21-12 this year. Only common opponent with GB was Youngstown State. The Redbirds needed OT to beat the Penguins at home. 1 of ISU's 2 quality wins was a neutral site win over the Shockers. Their worst loss was to RPI #271 Southern Illinois.

I'm looking forward to watching Keifer, McKinnie, and Mays play another game. We're going to miss them when they're gone so we should enjoy it while we can.
It's also another opportunity to play on national TV against a decent opponent.
How many other mid-majors in our league or any other league would be dying to be in the NIT instead of the CBI or CIT or no postseason at all. Yes, it's disappointing that GB shit the bed in the 2nd half at Valpo. But it's time to move past that. Like can opener man said, there's no BCS schools in our part of the bracket. Lets see what happens

This whole selection process is just an extension of what a joke the NIT is. How does a team with one of the higher RPIs in the tournament have to go on the road in the region of death? This is just a big money making scheme, which is funny, seeing as this tournament doesn't garner interest from anyone outside of the competing schools. I would say graduating to the NCAA tournament would free us of this nonsense but after seeing how the bracket unfolded its quite obvious too that it is a joke as well. The whole process should be based on formulas that political and economic bullshit cannot touch. Almost as bad as SNC being ranked #4 in the COUNTRY last year and having to go on the road in their first game.

Rpi is just a guideline. They use many other factors when seeding teams that is weighted much more than rpi itself
Our best wins Miami and valpo
Illinois state best wins are old dominion and Wichita state

Lots of high major teams left out of the NIT. Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, Tennessee, California.

Yeah it was nice seeing mid majors get respect in the nit this year. Look at the one seeds. No power five schools.
Wish ucla doesn't get in. NCAA. Temple should be in their spot

RPI this and RPI that...yeah its just a number but it seems like that number can carry a team in or out of the tournament.
