Don’t get why me there are more qualified guys on here then me but the fact he’s a badger try tip the needle in the needle him a Pritzl him being Brevins brother just the name kind of means something even though it’s not Brevin but Owens being a graduate Assistant for the great McDermott even for one year taking that knowledge I believe he’s been great coach at creighton an he’s been at Oregon state a big school so a lot of place can recruit different place which we need we can recruit in Wisconsin and all over the country and with Swanson he played in Australia once donations come poring in hopefully can recruit all over the world get foreign players like cems

Pritzl was a good defensive player so there trying to be better on defense the rp40 did not happen they never had the talent after the first year

One thing that stands out to me about this potential coaching staff is the depth of experience it has for being young. Take a look at the other 11 programs in the league and you will find several teams (Milwaukee, PFW, NKU, RMU, CSU & YSU) with guys who are working at the D1 or D2 level for the first time in a coaching position. I am not saying that as a bad thing because the league has a lot of guys who are young and hungry working in it and I like that. I am saying this staff is going to be competitive on day one. I look at the staff that GB has put together and see 3 coaches under 40 but who all have some pretty good experience and contacts already for recruiting the areas that GB will need to be relevant in.
In Jared Swanson you have 2 years of D1 assistant experience, 1 year of D2 assistant experience and 6 years of DOBO experience. He should be able to give GB a recruiting presence in Minnesota and Ohio as well as Australia (potentially). In Freddie Owens you have 10 years of D1 assistant experience, a guy who runs a huge yearly coaching clinic in Milwaukee each year. Based on his previous work he should be able to recruit Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan for sure. In Brandon Pritzl you have 4 years of D2 experience and he climbed quickly to associate head coach at that level. Plus it is a name that resonates locally. In looking at the Hillsdale roster and his experience he should be able to recruit Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
Coach Ryan said you want to put up a fence for recruiting but you also need a gate to let others in. It seems to me that this staff should be able to build a roster from the surrounding area that fans can get excited about.
It would also seem that the defense will pick up with this coaching staff.
When I look at these guys I see some very relevant experience at early stages in their careers. I think if they stay together they will do good things.

The last player ops rayfield, Tyler Kelly, and johnson were all from Florida southern it would not be be bad to get a uwgb former player or badger player or coach who is currently coaching grad assistant in that role maybe?
I don’t know if he would want to but David Jesperson if he is even thinking about coaching but he fits the role of a big guy in that position someone from uwgb

He's a UWGB alum and it looks like he left his role as an assistant at Northern Michigan so maybe joining Ryan's staff is already in the works.
