I was excited from Coach Ryan's press conference and the 1 on 1 interview. Looks like he already has a plan on how he will promote the program and use social media more heavily than what was done in the past.
Now he has 3+ weeks to pull together a staff and hopefully fill 2 scholarships assuming he will bank one for 2021 (unless more players leave). We shall see how this new UWGB program is pulled together.

Any word on who may end up on Will Ryan’s coaching staff? We’ve been speculating on who will/won’t be on the roster going into the rest of the summer, but not much in the asst. coaching front.

From what I understand from the web site Randell Herbst is the associate head coach and the other coaches we will have to wait for. I was wondering the same thing. You can't really move forward until the coaching is in place, but on the bright side coach Herbst is a good start. Welcome back coach. I think that Will will be back. It is easy to get discouraged when you are playing 3 minutes a game or if you miss a couple of shots and get taken out. Ryan will coach these guys and make them better players. All Will needs to do is play closer to the basket. At 240 lbs he should be able to get plenty of rebounds.

Herbst won’t be unemployed for long!

It would be good to have chevalier back but it truly seems like he’s gone according to some people it would be good for a Scott venci to confirm it but just because there’s playing time if a guy doesn’t want play bball anymore he doesn’t want play you have to wish him good luck in life he didn’t get a lot of playing time but if basketball isn’t your passion move on and let others play the team might hurt if he doesn’t play this year without him as a big and his three point shooting rebounding

Coach Herbst seems like a pro and I would agree that he should land on his feet fairly quickly. Again, thanks to all of the former coaches for your efforts. I among many other fans appreciate it!

Herbst was retained to keep the players from transferring. I am sure he was mislead, as the players were, that he would have a job by the AD. They no longer need Coach Herbst so they ditched him.

If what you are saying is accurate, that would be enough for me to stop donating to the program and consider not renewing my season tickets.

This is ridiculous. Why wouldn’t he continue working after Linc was fired? He was still an employee. How would that look if your boss was fired and then you were like, yep I’m not working anymore too. How would that look on your next resume?

Are you really that naive? If they didn't need him to keep the players from transferring why not fire him when they let everyone else go? I am sure the AD did not want to loose Amari, PJ or the new recruits.

I am sure the AD did not want to loose Amari, PJ or the new recruits. I’m logical. Why not work your ass off to try to keep the job? Herbst did and it will pay off for him in the future. Maybe it was Herbst who didn’t want to stay on? Maybe it was Will Ryan who wanted to make a change? We’ll never know.

I would ask that you don't take the context of a message board to make that decision and do your own research. I did mine and the picture is far less shady than what is being portrayed. The end result isn't any different but the process of getting there is.

Blind speculation is destructive to all parties and a disservice. Fans need to let the dust settle and wait for the involved parties to have a chance to speak if they want.
