No way he leaves for the NBA draft and signs an agent unless he wants to go back to Turkey to play right away. This is a big blow for next year. I really don't see him playing for a P6 type school and being anymore than a role guy.

This one really surprises me and wonder if someone is giving him bad information. I really don't see him being and NBA player or someone that can excel in a P6 conference. He is not overly athletic but still could be a contributor on next years team. So with that being said I am wondering if he thought his role would diminish next year with the more athletic players coming in? Also to make himself more marketable to foreign leagues he may be looking to go to a team that will make him a centerpiece of their offense.
All speculation and would have liked him to stay in Green Bay as he now leaves our team short a big guy when we were already short one.

Might as well put out a "help wanted" sign out for a big man now

Maybe this could sway Vance Johnson's decision......He would start for sure now.

He would be a late second rounder at BEST and a draft and stash guy (usually reserved for 18 year olds) he will prob end up coming back. I wouldn't think his stock is that high right now. Sure, the nepotism surely helps, but he started for 6 weeks, displayed average defensive abilities and showed he still needs work on his post footwork. I am kind of surprised he was non-committal about his plans for when he doesn't get drafted, since you'd think you would have a backup plan. Who knows I guess, Alec got drafted and Keifer didn't so surprises happen all the time but I don't see right now how he projects to the NBA.

Sure sounds like he is gone. I cannot see him getting drafted but could see him returning to Europe to start playing professionally.

If the goal is to play professionally, why not wait a year and build stock and go somewhere big? Maybe he's just anxious to get back home, I'm not sure, but this move is highly questionable if he thinks he's going to be playing in the NBA come October...

He needs next year to develop, though, if he thinks he is going to the NBA. My gut is that he might have been told by some scout that he has a shot and jumped the gun on this. Not signing with an agent is good for us. This story is far from over. I wouldn't hit the panic button just yet. If he does leave, then next year will be gone for us. That said, Linc better gameplan as though Kerem is leaving and hit the recruiting trail like yesterday.

All indications are that he will be gone. Even the statement that he posted on Twitter makes it seem like he's gone.
What a really tough blow. I actually thought we had a decent enough team returning next season with a Anderson / Small / Hankerson / (JUCO) / Kanter lineup. This blows a massive hole in the interior if he is indeed gone.
With 3 open scholarships now, need to land Johnson or maybe even Patterson plus another JUCO or graduate transfer that can play right away.
