Living on the coast that means a 3 AM start time. Can you say DVR?

Being an East-coaster I get 6 AM tipoff. I guess the dogs get walked very early that day! Isn't this a 24 hour basketball marathon? If you DVR the game you'll have to figure when to watch it.

While I knew it was coming actually seeing it happen has me disappointed as a ticket holder. Watching GB play non d1 teams doesn't make me want to commute to GB for the game. What it the point of adding NKU if we still have to play Duluth and Superior? It is either to get easy wins which I was under the impression MEG did not appreciate or it is to keep expenses low to keep the bottom line in check. Either way I will be donating these tickets to someone else.

Why in the h**l are we playing a D3 team at all during the regular season? Pre-season, fine, but the regular season? I agree with GBPhoenix1, if we just got NKU as a conference member which should have deterred the rest of the HL from having to schedule 2-3 D2 teams on the regular season schedule (1 D2 team, maybe), but yet we have a bad WIAC team right before the UW game? It would be more productive just to not schedule the game and have a solid practice, because UW-S is not going to even give GB any kind of resistance. I'd rather see GB play another guarantee road game at an RPI top 50 or a BCS school.

It is going to be pretty hard, if not impossible to get a casual fan to go watch Duluth and Superior play on a NFL sunday in Green Bay. Those crowds are going to be brutal. So far it does not appear that we have set up any new home/home agreements outside of SIU Edwardsville and Toledo(thanks to coach K). There should be a return game at Morehead State on this schedule as well. I hate to say this but go find a Chicago State, Western Illinois, IUPUI, UMKC ect and set up a contract before playing a bottom feeder in the WIAC. RPI should not be a concern this year. I will be furious if we have another non D1 home game. If money is the issue, I agree go play another Power 5 school and take the check.

If these game are on Packer Sundays, then maybe the games should be played at the Kress Center (and hope for some more student turnout) or move the games altogether.

The Duluth, Superior and Toledo games are all on Sundays. None of those games conflict with a Packer home game. The UMD game is at 4pm, with the Packers @ Vikings game being played at noon(flex scheduling). Why not play the game at 6pm to give people time to get to the game? The Superior game did not have a time attached to it but the Packers play at Oakland in a 3:25 game. That game should probably be on campus regardless. The Toledo game is on a Sunday the packers do not play.

I'm one of those few people who would support the addition of Chicago State, IUPUI or Fort Wayne to the Horizon League. It would reduce the chance of having to schedule a D3 or D2 team. Those are good and cost effective locations for the conference. The addition of Belmont (Nashville) would add quality but they would need a close by school are a travel partner, in terms of scheduling. (perhaps Lipscomb)
I'll give Darner and Company a Mulligan on scheduling this season. The test will come in 2015-16.

If they were going to schedule games with D3 teams, it's too bad they couldn't have worked something out with some GOOD D2 teams like: - Florida Southern, Barry or Lynn; or - Bellarmine, Indianapolis or Lewis; or - Augustana or MSU Morehead; OR IF THE DESIRE WAS TO PLAY AN IN-STATE OPPONENT... - UW Parkside. The need to resort to D3 opponents to schedule home games is just sad.

Agreed Moc.....I'll take another D2 team than play D3 on the regular season sched. GB would get a better game with a Green and White scrimmage than play UW-S.

With the exempt tournament yielding 4 games, GB can play 31 regular season games. With 18 Horizon League games, 3 open NC games are available. One will most likely be a return game at Morehead State. I would hope that at least one more home D1 game is on the schedule and I am fearing a 3rd Non D1 game will round out the schedule.
