According to the ETSU message board and what looks like a reliable poster this is their current schedule 11/14 9am vs UW-Green Bay (ESPN 24 hour tip off marathon) 12/18 vs Eastern Kentucky 12/22 @ Tennessee @ UNCA @ Davidson ? @ Tennessee Tech @ NC Central ? @ Villanova (preseason NIT) @ Georgia Tech (preseason NIT) UNC Wilmington This would mean we would be part of the ESPN 24hr marathon with a 9am (8am central)game at ETSU. Cannot confirm but saw this here csnbbs.com/thread-739688.html

I like that they are getting a winnable road game on the ESPN networks. I am just throwing this out there but given the budget situation and knowing that the program is going to play some buy games I have a hard time believing they are going to make a tough trip to rural TN and not play someone else in that area. I am very confident they are going to play at Georgia Tech in the NIT, which would have been 4 hours from ETSU, however Georgia Tech is playing games on 11/13 and 11/16 already so it won't be on this trip.

Plenty of options to have a buy game within 4-6 hours of ETSU. Many teams play on opening night 11/13 so guessing they play somewhere on 11/16. If the price is right why not play at Tennessee(Knoxville) or somewhere else real close on Sunday? Morehead State is about 4hrs away too and I believe they might return the trip the eagles made to GB last year.

FSC played Tennessee in 2013 one day after they played UF, so Linc has a relationship with UT. Maybe he can put a game together.

I could be wrong, but with college football going on I'd be shocked if the college basketball marathon is Nov 14, a Saturday.
Last year it was Monday and Tuesday, Nov 17-18 2013 it was Monday and Tuesday, Nov 11-12 2012 it was Tuesday, Nov 13
It would be good exposure to get an ESPN game during the marathon though.

That certainly makes sense. That would open having a Friday night/Saturday game somewhere to open the season.

It wouldn't be a buy game but another possible option in Tennessee could be Belmont, especially considering their basketball scheduling agreement when they became HL affiliate members for men's soccer

With 18 HL games to play and 8 games listed so far in non conference action it looks like GB has up to another 5 games to schedule. With 3 teams in the Power 5 already on the books I would be surprised to see more. With only 3 home game so far it wouldn't surprise me to see another D2 game although that would disappoint me.

another D2 game would also disappoint me but it may be reality. If madison wont even give us a home game why would the others. College sports is not what is used to be. Again i am ranting but do not like the direction college sports is moving to. It is like the business world where a few keep eating up the smaller ones and get stronger while the smaller ones struggle to survive.
Seriously, how much money do the power conferences need? WHen does it become too much? it is making the playing field tilt towards them and will back college sports not as much fun to watch.

www.collegesportsmadness.com/mens-basketball/top-144-previewsCollege Sports Madness ranks the top 144 teams and releases one every day leading up to the season. So far these teams are on the Phoenix schedule #143 Toledo #136 Milwaukee (2) #97 Akron #92 Oakland (2) #89 Georgia Tech Wisconsin, Stanford and Valpo should be ranked eventually as well. Looks like a solid schedule so far.
