Guys the best coach for this job is Linc Darner. Everyone will become believers if he would be considered.

"Why should that mean he wouldn't be available when the Milwaukee job is open?" - Kris Kelderman Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards Nothing speaks to Milwaukee's mismanagement more than when they overspent for a soccer coach (non-revenue sport) and then couldn't afford to fire their basketball coach after an APR ban and their 2nd sub-200 RPI finish in 3 years. Cute, but men's soccer has been a revenue sport in the past at Milwaukee and doesn't lose much money now. It's also hard to fire a coach when you're 12 calendar months removed from this:

Jostens called, they wanted to know if they should close out the uwm account since it doesn't look like they will be getting any more rings in the near future.

I am quite shocked that soccer has become a revenue sport at Milwaukee. Do you really get that many fans to attend the game? Just asking because it seems like basketball's attendance is not outstanding

I am quite shocked that soccer has become a revenue sport at Milwaukee. Do you really get that many fans to attend the game? Just asking because it seems like basketball's attendance is not outstanding The first half of the 2000's MKE had several hundred season ticket holders and some killer sponsorship deals. They've done multiple six and seven figure renovations at Engelmann without having to tap into student fees or the state (much like your fantastic new all-encompassing outdoor facility is going to be). We have a home game every year with Marquette or Wisconsin that pulls in a few thousand. The Marquette game has been a regular sellout since Louis Bennett left us to become Marquette's coach. Still, we haven't been a true "revenue sport" with soccer since 2005ish. The cost of tuition and operations went up.
