Henrymuto it is always good to have more conversations, thanks for posting. One quick question, what is the best CSU message board? The last one that I used to view is always filled with spam threads. In case it comes to a CSU vs GB final I am sure everyone will want to get a little banter going. I can help there. clevelandstatehoops.proboards.com/I had to find it earlier in the season because as you said their old one is spam filled and doesn't appear to be used anymore. That is correct. I am not sure what happened to the old board I just moved to this new board myself this year.

I would rather play Valpo, since UWM did beat us at full strength at home and nearly did so when we played them at The Cell. Jordan Aaron scored 30 in the first game in Milwaukee, then 26 when we played in GB. For some reason, GB can't stop him right now. I don't want to take any chances playing against him again.

From a purely basketball fan standpoint, I think out of all the game possibilities on this side of the bracket, a UWM GB rematch is the best matchup possible. Just based on the games this year and knowing it just depends on who is hot longer. Valpo is good, but I think GB can handle them when at full strength. UWM seems to struggle mightily at stopping sykes, and green bay just can't seem to stop aaron. It makes for great basketball seeing two scorers go head to head like that. I really hope we get to see it again this season.

I think I'd have to agree with gbbrl97 and will root for Valpo, but there should be plenty of motivation on our side for either UWM or Valpo. It would be great to fire on all cylinders for 2 entire halves and really make a statement. I still can't believe how long it has been since we've been in this position - way too long.

I'm so excited for tomorrow night's and Saturday's games. Just one class and a 3 hour drive home tomorrow. Can't wait. I'm not sure who I'll be pulling for tomorrow in the Valpo and UWM game. I don't like either of them, but it would be nice to get a win back on UWM. As for Wright State and Oakland, I just want to see a bunch of 3's by Bader.

I'm not too worked up about the fact that our next opponent has beaten the Nix. They simply caught us during a stretch when we were vulnerable. GB played 9 games from January 12 to February 8. During that time the Nix were playing through several injuries and rarely had enough players to go 5 on 5 in practice. They played extremely lethargic and heavey legged. During that stretch GB had 4 games that were only 7 point wins or worse, and no blowout wins. That's despite the fact none of the team were RPI top 150 teams. GB had just 5 games of that margin or worse throughout the rest of their entire schedule. The other 20 games included 7 games versus RPI top 100 teams. They also had around a dozen blowout wins.
When this team is rested and healthy, it's been simply awesome. They enter the tournament rested and healthy. Bring on anyone, I'm hoping for Milwaukee. I simply want the highest RPI opponent. I'm pulling for Oakland to beat WSU for the same reason, and then for CSU to beat Oakland.

I'm super excited/nervous about tomorrow night. I'm driving up for the Saturday evening games (and maybe the Championship too). I've always thought it was really unfortunate that one bad game can ruin an entire season, but the tournament will be time for this team to shine.
I've been part of too many heartbreaks to get my hopes up really high (last year was the worst), but what keeps me believing is the resiliency of Kiefer Sykes. I truly believe he is a player that will not let this team have a let-down game, and can carry GB to the tourney.
Off Topic: Anyone else going to the alumni get-together at The Bar tomorrow night?

We (CSU) is going to have a very tough time just getting past Wright State to get to the finals. Was really hoping at the end of the year Wright State would end up the #4 seed not the #3 they are going to be a tough out for us we lost once at home to them and barely beat them on a questionable 3 point shot foul call last time.

I was seriously considering going to the alumni tailgate, but my 12 year old son would dread it. Besides, given my travel time schedule for this weekend, it is looking like Saturday night pre-game is going to be my only chance to gorge on Kroll's hamburgers.

Well rematches of split series on both sides with the road teams winning all 4 games.
Green Bay vs Milwaukee both teams won on the road split series 1-1.
Cleveland State vs Wright State both teams won on the road split series 1-1.

Tonight's games were fun and relaxing, two decent games. Was cool to see Travis Bader, was hoping he'd hit a few more 3's. Was just neat to see tonight with no horse in the race. However, tomorrow night I'm going to be a nervous wreck, I can tell you that much. Hope we come out with as much energy as UWM started with tonight. Gotta play smart, but take gambles. Have to limit UWM's offensive rebounds, and on 50/50 balls, UWM was winning every single one, so we need to win those. Should be a good game, can't wait.

It will be interesting to see what UWM team show up tonight. If it is the same group as last night, it will be a highly competitive game. GB will need to put their knee pads on and get on the floor and win ever 50-50 all and defend the glass. JJ Panoske even got after it and was mixing things up.
Off topic, but the guy sitting next to me last night asked me why if Wright St's mascot/logo are the "Raiders" why do they have a picture of a Wolf in all of the promotional material?
