Chop goes with stop...as in he would stop the ball on offense and as a fan make you yell stop at him. Also, based on his post GB history it goes with "stop what you are doing, this is a robbery."
Anyway, I didn't think the big Sudanese kid could play but neither could Bross and GB brought him in. The 6'10" kid from the Sudan on that team can play on both ends. He might be a little bit of a ball stopper but looks like a kid that can contribute at a decent D1 level. It looks like DePaul and Wichita State were interested at one point.
I don't mind GB parting ways with Jack George. I like his height but he might have been a long way away from playing. I would disagree that Wardle is too focused on his next gig to be recruiting. I think one of the things that has worked for him as a recruiter is being patient and getting kids that fit his style. I would rather he takes his time and gets impact players.

Green Bay will host a long-armed, athletic 6'9" center this weekend. I don't want to share too much as I don't want to jinx this. He has some solid offers, including one from the Big Ten. However, the Nix have a real shot to land this big man, as he would have the chance to play with a previous teammate. He's lean but by all accounts plays hard and is developing skill, including a solid mid-range jumper.

Shooting the J, thanks for the information and you definitely have me excited. Are you able to tell us if he is a juco transfer or high school senior. Also, what state is he from. Completely understand if you can't but am axiously awaiting to find out and hope he signs here.

Just a question that maybe can't be answered but I have 3 names that fit the bill. The three guys I am thinking of are from Chicago, Sudan and Turkey...would any of those be accurate?

I'd rather not expand on this for certain reasons, sorry. Likely won't have any more news on this until Monday or Tuesday. I'm fairly certain players can't sign a LOI while they're on campus.

Don't nag J. Never want to undercut recruiting, recruits and their families and friends read these boards.

Now that the weekend is over and this recruit is home, I hope GB receives some good news quickly.

Green Bay has extended a scholarship offer to F David Skara of Midwest Elite Prep Academy. MEP is in northwest Indiana. Skara is a highly skilled 6'8" forward originally from Croatia. He is an instinctive player who can shoot, handle the ball, and pass. MEP hosted St. John's Northwest Military academy last night. They won a match-up against St. John's earlier in the season. St. John's has several Phoenix targets. Just circling back here, reports on Twitter indicate that Skara committed to Valpo.

Skara played well against St. John's NW Military Academy a couple times this year in videos I saw earlier. However, I recently watched of 2 games of Skara facing Victory Rock Prep, and future Phoenix Khalil Small locked him down and pretty much made him invisible.

Was Marlon Jones a Nix target? I saw where he committed to Loyola this past week.
I'm wonder if other school are using the BS from last spring against Green Bay, in the recruiting wars.

Marlon Jones would have been a stud in the Phoenix program in my opinion. I was hoping he was the recruit that J was describing that was on campus, no clue if GB ever had a chance/contact. Him and Doyle give LU two really solid young guns.

Depends on the school. Generally you don't get negative recruiting against conference schools because you see these people every year. That's how it was when Loyola was in. Now that they're gone, it might have changed. Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards

From what I am told the 6'9" player that came in for a visit is from the Sudan and the coaching staff believes they have a good chance of signing him. Here is to hoping that comes true.
