Bring on the chaos!
It will be an epic adventure watching this unfold. I have no predictions, other than we will hear lots of opinions.

I know I’m jumping the gun here but he mentioned he’s going to play a “different” style of basketball. Curious what that will mean? Press the whole game!?! He said it in the Inside Wisconsin Show. Playing 5 out, shooting lots of threes and making lots of layups. Didn’t we play that kind of crap basketball under Linc? The failed RP40 experiment? Hope Doug can get actual post players to come to GB versus Linc who never met a post player he didn’t want to recruit. We couldn’t defend inside or get a defensive rebound to save our lives in those years.

He didn’t press after his second year which is why they started to suck.

He should have recruited more size and length instead having a roster full of combo and wing guards.

If he’s really keeping his radio job, and with a teen-hoops son, I believe Gottlieb will be less committed to the community than Linc - if it’s possible. Josh Moon made a career make or break hire that will prove itself by the beginning of year 2. I hope he was right! If he brings nil money from his supporters which it sounds like he will it won’t matter what he does with the community. Money talks and bullshit walks. Linc couldn’t raise money. And you believe “his supporters “ will deliver NIL money for UWGB? That would really be a win! 2-year max.

He was the opposite of the analytics friendly style Doug wants to play

Josh Moon wouldn’t have made a hire that will be ridiculed until November if he didn’t have a plan. If Gottlieb is here two years and takes the team to the big dance then it was a success. The days of a coach staying here long term are over. It’s time to adjust. This hire is a continuation of the Wicks hire. Moon wants someone who can promote the brand of GB basketball. Whether we like it or not (I don’t) college basketball is a business now. Moon is treating it as such and so far so good

Wicks was a home run, he's improved the rest of the athletic department, a mid May coaching hire won't define his career.

I would doubt there’s any room for Adam Owens,Jordan McCabe, pat monaghan on Doug gottliebs staff.
but i would love to be wrong.

I would doubt there’s any room for Adam Owens,Jordan McCabe, pat monaghan on Doug gottliebs staff. but i would love to be wrong. He said he already has his staff in mind, he had one last year, too. One will probably be his brother, and he said he wanted two defensive-minded coaches. I don’t know which camp his brother falls into. Maybe McCabe in a reduced role, but I doubt any of them really stay.

I want to have faith that Josh Moon made the right hire. It's just so strange to think about. I listened to Doug's podcast last night and he's talking about getting good seats at Packers games, being buddies with Brian Anderson so he can get to a Brewers game once in a while. Very little talk about the team. It just seems like so much smoke and mirrors with no substance, which he doesn't have anyway. He must have been a fancy talker in the interview that he got the job offer. Then we see all the congratulatory kind words being shared about DG from the likes of Tom Izzo, Shaka Smart, Fran McCaffery and a host of others. Really? Again, it's all so strange...

If you only heard him talk about attending packer games then you must’ve only listened to literally the first 3 minutes of his live radio show, he went far more in depth later on, and even far more so on the Inside Wisconsin show (think it was called that) linked in this thread.
