I have to admit that I was wrong earlier in the off season. I didn't think that guys who wanted to stay and were putting in the work would be asked to leave late in the spring.
There is a balance between winning and impacting lives of young adults. I'm not sure that balance is being met here.
Yes I want to win and I think that can still be accomplished with all of the other openings they had to fill.

They were asked to not come back by who coach wicks? It was what Donovan Short said in that article shortly after he met with Wicks: ‘I am going to put you through a trial, and if you get through this trial and I like you, I will keep you.'

So Dailey and rose went through the “trial” and failed? They got cut? We’re asked to leave because they failed the trial?

The transfer portal is a two way street. Ever school that I've covered has had an annual review of scholarships and helped student/athletes find a better fit. It's no knock against the player or coach. This should not be any different from a business that has new management or new owner.
The transfers will all have options and a fresh start. It may not look that way in the present but down the road -- nine times out of ten it is the best for all parties.

I am fairly certain that GB under some of the most recent AD's and coaching staffs had an informal no cut policy. That appears to no longer be the case.

So Dailey and rose went through the “trial” and failed? They got cut? We’re asked to leave because they failed the trial? I heard this? I heard that? How about with the tail end of the current roster being finalized, that these two looked at the realistic minutes they would get, compared to last season , and facing a hard transfer deadline of May 11th, decided the best personal option was to enter the portal. Colorado just had their Spring football game which gave players an idea of what to expect from Dion. They are now up to 41 players leaving the program, 31 being starters, safe to bet Dion didn’t cut them.

There was non basketball stuff going on with last year's team that I'm happy they eliminated. The players on the 23-24 Green Bay Phoenix deserve a chance at unity as a basketball team. That's as much as I want to say. I love our direction going forward.

Story from The Athletic today: theathletic.com/4451509/2023/04/26/deion-sanders-colorado-transfer-portal/“He’s walking with me and said, ‘Hey buddy, you’re going to get cut today. I’m sorry to tell you this. I didn’t want you to hear it from Coach Prime. I wanted you to hear it from my mouth. I didn’t want to cut you, but we had to cut five offensive linemen, and you were the last one,’” Gray told The Athletic on Tuesday evening." So maybe do some research before you just throw something out there. What I post here comes directly from people involved.

For anyone who doesn't have The Athletic, the article clearly states that some of the Colorado players left on their own volition.
