How this roster has been rebuilt amazes me. There is size, muscle and experience that has the potential for a turnaround that could have people talking across the college basketball world. Ryan Wade's retention is underappreciated. Having another experienced point guard provides depth at the most important position. The bulk and athleticism up front that Wicks has brought in should be able to more than hold their own again anyone in the Horizon League. Now it's time to wait and see if the team will be greater than the sum of the parts. Here's hoping community leaders will buy in to provide the support to build on a great start to a new era of Nix roundball. Totally agree Tulsa! I am an alumni (73) and believe there are not too many fans that have attended more games (750 +) however last year I did not renew as I moved out of the area 400 mile trip. still watching online. GO PHOENIX!!!

I'm a 73 grad who has lived from Virginia to Oregon over the years. I've attended games whenever I can -- the NCAA Tournament games, NIT, games out east, Texas and the west coast. Last season was the first time I was unwilling to sit through the games online. I felt guilty but it was so painful to watch. The only bright spot was the second UWM game. Freddie Owens got the team to come together for that one. Praying for him and his future All American son.
It is probably for the best that most of last season's team members are regrouping somewhere else. Time to put the experience in the rearview mirror and focus on a brighter future.

Old farts are out in force, also 73 grad. Other than 8 years in PA I had been going to games religiously. In 2021 I moved Eau Claire, I streamed the games last year but not always live. This is the best I have felt about a team since the Wardle teams and I was not one of the ones called for Darner is be fired. Ryan was just a mistake although I was willing to give him a chance.

Brayden Dailey has 4 years of eligibility wow that’s crazy to me how is that? Because he redshirted? He’s kind of a steal. With having 4 years of eligibility.

We could see Jack rose again he transfered fo uw parskide. To me this is sad. I thought like Brock he had so much potential. I would love to see a box score some day vs uwgb with Jack rose had 20 points. It makes sense based on he from Wisconsin but at one point he had a offer from Maryland. To me he seems tough. A good shooter. Foster and mac. Will be interesting in that new role.

That is a good move for a number of reasons. Wade provides grad leadership, on and off the court, rewards ongoing commitment to student-athletes who have been willing to go through hell and high water with the program and finally sends a message to current and future walk-ons. This affirms the values and culture that is being created.

I see that Cade Meyer has left Northern Kentucky. What little information I have seen makes it seem like he was pushed out.
I know he was not getting a lot of playing time and another Wisconsin product (Wells) was ahead of him in the rotation.
Does anyone know anything more?
