It looks like Detroit Mercy hosted the mid-major portion of this event last year. It's been awhile since GB has hosted a non-conference "tournament", maybe this is the year.

Would give GB 3 solid home games if that was the case.
2 from this tournament and 1 (Evansville)

2 from this tournament and 1 (Evansville) I wouldnt necessary say solid since it would be two other mid/low majors. I would be excited as a fan if they did host to get four games for the price of two.

Solid to me is anything that isn’t non division one home games Two years ago we hosted Florida A&M and Stetson as part of an MTE. Was blown out by Stetson and barely beat FAMU. Hoping this field is better than that year regardless of where the games are played.

Also had a team that year full of freshman with zero experience. I get where you are coming from but if we can only have one Non Division one school on our schedule I would be happy. If that means playing one mid major and then one low mid major at home I’ll take it.

The date on the Purdue game is the first day teams are eligible to play games. That will be a good test to see where the team is at.
I like the Xavier game. A tough building to play in. Strikes me a game similar to Creighton in that GB should be able to hang with Xavier long enough to make things interesting.
I am still expecting one more high major road game in addition to what we know so far. When they cut the swimming scholarships they mentioned basketball makes money. Two pay games isn't the type of money they were talking about IMO.

I truly believe the UWGB Athletic Department needs to create a newsletter or something of some sort that provides current sporting news that pertains to all of the school's D1 athletic sports. This newsletter could be sent via email to all season ticket holders for all sports as well as to all Phoenix Fund members. Could have it included in the school's newspaper. From there the newsletter could then be sent to all of the Alumni via their membership lists. The Athletic Department could put out the word to the GB students to a competition to create the name of the newsletter, etc.. The Athletic Department surely could get a student intern to facilitate the bi-weekly newsletter.. Personally speaking the Athletic Department keeps its most important followers of UWGB sports in the "dark" about so much. For instance....take a look at the basketball rosters....not current...why is it there is no mention of the men's or women's non-conference basketball games..why is it we hear so little about the other UWGB sports...volleyball...swimming..softball...men's and women's soccer....etc etc etc.. It is time for the UWGB Athletic Department take the time to improve their public relations image to the loyal followers of UWGB sports. It's June and if not for some of the individuals who take the time to post on this site who would know that the GB men's basketball team will be playing Purdue, Evansville, Xavier....who provided that news? it surely was not the UWGB Athletic Department.
