Just my quick take on Love. I like what he said and I like that he is a playmaker. Based on what I saw I would say he is crafty and an average athlete. He seemed to have a good handle with both hands. I thought he used the hesitation dribble, cross over and jump stop pretty well to score because he didn't seem "lightning quick" with the ball. Fouse is a stat stuffer, it should be interesting to see if it translates to D1. I was talking to someone who wasn't a Fouse fan and they thought he only had 1 primary offensive move (two right hand dribbles and then cross to the left) and was also having issues off the court. Not sure what to make of either of those comments, just curious if anyone has heard the same. i would agree that Love is more crafty than quick, I think he uses his length well. He reminds me a little if Diante Garret. A fraction of Diante Garret could still be a very good Horizon League player. Love still has some spring in him though, I've seen him throw down some impressive dunks for a 6'1" player in game. As for Fouse, I see absolutely no reason why his stats wouldn't translate to D1. I've watched numerous St. Cat's players play in HS who went on to play D1, including Cordero Barkley, James Haarsma, and Steve McWorter. McWorter started this year as a sophomore at Indiana St, and we've seen plenty of Haarsma and of course Barkley. Fouse is easily the best of the bunch (no disrespect to CB who was a terrific athlete before his knees went bad). Fouse has plenty of offensive moves, both off the dribble and in the post, and he'll learn even more at GB. Sounds to me like your friend is a hater. Is he a bitter UW-Milwaukee fan?

I like the signing of Love. We needed a true backup PG to Sykes.....If Williams dosen't come back, since I don't have faith in the NCAA to do the right thing, would BW bank that scholarship? Would he give it to Cole Stephan after next season, assuming he makes it through a season concussion-free through the practices and games (after 1st semester)? Or would he revise his offer to Cody Wichman or Turner Botz? Cowgill is the only senior next season (assuming that JW doesn't come back), so would that scholarship go to either Wichman/Botz or has BW identified another position to use Cowgill's scholarship for??

Is Fouse related to Cordero? I think Fouse is CB's nephew.

Has anyone seen Ward in person? I will on Friday, I'll let you you know what I see from Ward. The question to be answered is the quickness and upside. I'll also report on Love and Arenz. Will you be there too?

I don't go to the state tournament anymore. I discontinued my season tickets prior to last years tournament after having the tickets for 14 years.

Yes, there are a lot of options right now. To throw another question into the mix, will Stefan get a hardship waiver and be eligible to play right away? I think there is a decent chance for that. As for 2013, another player they're very interested in is 6'9" Toby Hegner. He has a full offer. Toby is an extremely skilled big man, and would be a great addition if we can steal him away from the high majors that are pursuing him.

I'll speculate here that former Phoenix target Milton Doyle will be going back on the market. Doyle committed to Isiah Thomas and Florida Internation last fall before his breakout senior year. Thomas was fired yesterday, after a disasterful 3 years. Not surprising, except for the timing. This could have been done weeks ago Milton was a rather unknown player after missing his junior year with injury and transfer issues, but the Nix new about him and offered last summer. Doyle, was a teammate of Kiefer Sykes during Sykes senior year. He is a do-everything player who averaged 19 PPG, 8 rpg, 5 apg, 5 spg and 2 bpg this year for Marshall. If the Nix use their last scholarship on someone outside the program, Doyle would be an awesome fit.

I am hoping that Stefan is healthy and gets the last scholarship and I would not like to see another player transfer out. There is something to be said for continuity.

I'd agree if we knew Stefan would get a hardship waiver to play immediately. Without it, we could be kind of thin depth wise the 1st half the year. With McKinnie sitting out all year, and Turner coming off the injury, that would leave us with just 10 scholarship players, plus Dimakos. 4 of them will be freshman. It would be normal to expect 1 more injury, it happens every year, that would leave us pretty thin. I love the addition of Stefan, but if he doesn't get a hardship waiver, then I think we need to use that scholarship on someone else for next year. I also hope they can add another walk-on.

Love definitely isn't the slam-dunk commits that Fouse and Arenz are, but with Sykes you don't need to depend on him.
Hey GB BB is Back, changing my signature is cute. I'll leave it for now, since you love controlling everything on this board.
Anyways, the reason I came is that Trivante Bloodman, who holds (or held) an offer from GB, is visiting Milwaukee this weekend.
I think that might have changed with the Love commitment. Anyone know?
