Green Bay (5-2) @ Eastern Michigan (5-3) Where: Ypsilanti, Michigan When: Tuesday, 12/10,13, 6:00 CST Media: Streaning at MAC Sports Website (free)They have pretty good size and one of the top shot blockers in the country. For all of their size and shot blocking they are getting out rebounded on the year. They gave UMass and Purdue good games but lost both. They don't seem to have much in the back court, I would expect Sykes/Love can go nuts on these guys. I am optimistic that GB can get a road win against what looks like a better than expected opponent.

I checked them out on their website. They have wins over Robert Morris and CSU. They are 5-3 but at home 5-1. This could be a trap game for GB after Virginia? They appear to have 3 main players with 10+ points per game but then a big fall off.

Andrew Gavin's PreviewTough match-up gor Green Bay. This game really scares me. EMU coach Rob Murphy is a former Syracuse assistant who exclusively plays that 2-3 zone. GB just isn't built to beat that. Plus, throw in limited practice time with this games short turn around, and we could be in for a frusterating night on the road. If Green Bay does win this, I'll easily predict they won't lose another non-conference game.

In addition to what I wrote earlier, I believe the game is available for free on the MAC website.

www.vandelaysports.com/mac-sports-boards/emu-message-boards.htmlI attached a list of EMU sports message boards in case you are interested. The first link has two pages of pregame talk. Some ranging from this a good opponent for EMU and a good measuring stick to GB doesn't look impressive and this will be bad if they lose. I will assume Love starts but any chance Botz gets the start tonight? Of Humphrey, Fulton, Garrett and Botz he is the only pure shooter.

No wonder some EMU fans aren't impressed with us, one poster stated we use a 1-2-1 zone press. We're pretty dang good, but we couldn't stop Grambling with just 4 players. We''ll a 1-2-1-1 zone press tonight, but this game still really scares me.

I will assume Love starts but any chance Botz gets the start tonight? Of Humphrey, Fulton, Garrett and Botz he is the only pure shooter. Interesting question. I'd think Botz will at least get some run tonight. Wardle said he'd likely have a different starter than Humphrey, but never really hinted who it would be. An even wilder option would be to play Alec on the wing with Lowe or Garret in the post.

With 8 minutes left in the first half I have to wonder if Mays and Sykes quit the team?!?! Please play them, thus is rough to watch without them.

PATHETIC! If GB gets back on D once I will be happy. 11 TO's...defense for emu is good but not that good.
Also, please never play Fulton again.

4 missed ft, can't do that when you can't score in half court.
Only time GB played well was when tempo was super fast.
I feel lucky to only be down 11.

Yikes that was a pathetic first half. 18 points in a half? Still a chance but good lord gotta shoot better than 28.6%

EMU was too big and athletic on defense for GB. They made it way too hard for GB to score. I think EMU is a very solid team with their talent, underrated.
GB needs to rebound quickly and work on their zone offense.

Played poorly today, especially the first half. Mays and Love did not play as well as they did against Virginia.
The zone really bothered them and way too many turnovers.
Now they need a win on the road.

All my fears were realized. We're not built to play against that zone, fortunately we won't face a 2-3 zone anywhere near that good again until the postseason.
Our RPI falls to 43rd.
On to the next one.
