The games are announced on 1/28/13 and while GB would have enough time to move to 6-2 in the league and 12-9 overall, that is probably not enough to get close to a tv game.
Outside of the midwest maybe they could get a MAAC game like Fairfield, Niagara or Rider.
Inside of the midwest I would assume that teams that they have played in the past bracket buster series are out. So right now I could see them playing Oakland, Drake, SE Missouri or Toledo.
I know the Bracket Buster is coming to an end but I am still curious to see who GB ends up playing. If the game is close enough, I wouldn't mind jumping in the car for a quick trip.

Here's a link with bracketbuster info, including home/road assignments. It also mentions all return games will be next year. While I'd prefer late season weekend games be meaningful conference games, it's always fun to speculate on Bracketbuster match-ups. Of the game possibilities GBPhoenix1 mentions, I think Toledo might be the most interesting. I'd like to see our former players in person next year. I was hoping we'd be good enough this year to draw Northern Iowa, and play them on TV. I think they'd draw a decent crowd in a return game. Maybe we'll go on a run and win 4 straight to make this happen

I would love Toledo.....Play against TK in the return game next season. It would be interesting how the GB fans would react.....

The ESPN Ramada Bracketbuster Selection Show is on Monday, 2/4/2013 on ESPNU at 6:30 p.m. EST/5:30 p.m. CST. ESPN moved it back one week from the original schedule they announced earlier in 2012.

The announcement being pushed back a week is a good thing for GB. If, I know it is a big if, they can get two more road wins this week that has to get them a heck of a lot closer to being on tv and playing a solid opponent.
I would have to double check the rpi ratings but most of the regional teams I listed previously really haven't done much in conference play. If GB has a winning HL record and plays any of them it would be a disappointment at this point.
There used to be a website that predicted matchups, does anyone know of such a thing?

I know a VCU fan had posted some bracketbuster predictions in the past, but with them moving to the A10 this year it doesn't look like he's doing it. I was able to find this. It at least gives us an idea of who we could be playing

I'll make my prediction.....If GB can sweep the Chicago road trip this week and either gain a game on Valpo and end up in 2nd place after this weekend, they will get an ESPNU or ESPN3 date versus an MVC team, most likely Indiana St. or Evansville. If we can't solve the road win puzzle again, we'll probably get a our TK rematch against Toledo.

Another possibility for GB is a Western Illinois. They're 12-7, are in a similar RPI range, and fit regionally. I'd prefer a MVC team, but they'd do. A re-match from the old Mid-Con Conference days.

RD wrote in the paper today that GB will not be playing Toledo so there goes that dream.
I will be curious to see if they match GB up based on RPI or based on conference record. They have the 3rd best conference record but I think the RPI is only 7th best in the league.
I am going off of memory so this might not be possible but it seems like Drake in a non televised game is the kind of match up GB should expect.

I'm hoping they want to showcase a possible 1st rd NBA draft choice. That way we get a better draw and TV time?

Rob Demovsky Has tweeted that Green Bay's opponent in the bracket buster will be Drake. They're 11-11 with an RPI of 137. Solid match-up.

Looking at common opponents Drake lost at Detroit by 6, won at Nevada by 10 and won at SIU by 5.
They seem to be getting hot at home right now with wins over Creighton and Indiana State at home recently.
They seem to be a very good shooting team including from outside. They seem to be a little soft with very few blocks and not a great rebounding team.
Their leading scorer is Ben Simmons who is a player that I know GB wanted to get at one point in time. Maybe they can show him the error in his ways.
They have a really big kid, so Alec might not be able to just go over the top inside.
Based on their message board they have a fan base that wants to fire their head coach.
Not a marquee matchup but a good opponent. I would say at this point I would give the edge to the home team.

I think Detroit received an amazing opportunity with Wichita State. I can't believe Western Illinois only received a down CSU this year. I think WSU got a nice draw for them in Evansville. Not that I care about milwaukee but they will go up against a former player, JaRob McCallum, in the home return game. That is kind of cool and something to get the fans rowdy over.

Drake has something called Bulldog vision on their website which I am assuming will broadcast the game. I know we don't have a lot of posters on here but does anyone plan to go to the game in person?
The Drake board I found doesn't have a lot of activity but they responded in a ho hum manner to the match up with GB.
