With Roy in the mix the squad looks to have length and skill across the incoming players.
Roy looks like the kind of guy that can get the team a bucket late in the clock or when things have broken down.
I like what Doug has done with the roster. Granted the experience of some guys is low. That is another thing Roy brings to the table, this guy has been around and knows what to do.

I looked at the current roster just now and everyone who has committed is on there except Emmanuel James. Did his status change? Or is there something in the admissions process holding things up before they can put him in the roster?

Sometimes JUCO players have more hoops to jump through, in James situation being from central Nigeria may complicate the paperwork even more. A guess on my part.

Or is there something in the admissions process holding things up before they can put him in the roster? Ayden Goll isn't either. I suspect it's a scholarship vs. walk-ons issue. If that's the case, then they would have one open spot for each if they want to use them. I'd like to see a little beef. The big guys are bean poles. Suemnick would be a nice addition.

Really really really need one more "big," someone at least 6'7'' or above that isn't a twig. I think this team can win all the run and gun shootouts, but what happens when a bigger team slows the game down? The Nix really need more muscle inside.

A player like Suemnick is the remaining piece of the puzzle. The roster has the most depth and height of any Nix team in history. They lack a beefeater 230 pound guy, an enforcer. The absence of that is the only match up that gives me concern about the 24-25 season. If Gottlieb and Company can get these players to work as a team -- watch out Horizon League. On paper I see post season potential. This has been an amazing six weeks.

Then you have two guys that are 6’10+. Between there you just have 2 guys in Hall and Santoro. That 6’6”-6’9” range is where you historically find lots of front court players in the Horizon.

As it stands now the Nix should be at or near the top of the Horizon League in athleticism and outside firepower. Gottlieb can run the five out offense he wants to run. On defense he will have a lot of bodies to rotate for ball pressure. (generating turnovers) Emmanuel James will be a crazy inside match up for big but slow front court players. Let the games begin. ;-)

In my opinion uwgb could use more experience. More size in a big man. Like Patrick suemenick. He’s from the Green Bay Area. I’m not sure if uwgb has a scholarship left if they do. It should go to him.
He’s got a lot of talent. Fits the fast pace athletic style. The front court seems missing you have royee and Isaiah. When you face Milwaukees fields. Or wright state Noel is that enough? Will eames and rich byhre were older stronger experienced players in the post. Roee is experienced pro player. But college basketball is a different game.

Uwgb gets naia player Anthony Roy. He played at d1s San Francisco and New Mexico where he averaged 10 ppg.Maybe Ryan Wade is a walk on? Or maybe uwgb can’t get Patrick suemenick. Huge addition. Immediate starter. I seen NAIA transfers start on tournament teams this past year.

If uwgb has an open scholarship. Patrick Suemick would be good or I think glen Taylor has a open recruitment after his Memphis visit fell through.
