It’s almost June and you can add former Detroit mercy Jayden stone you do it. Even Marcus tankersley. John egbuta. He is athletic enough. Kidtrell blocker. There are more players in the world besides the ones you've heard of, uncommitted high-major transfers or ones who have ties to northeast Wisconsin.

Not only that, but most transfers aren't looking to make lateral moves unless they just really hate their coach or where they're playing. *Only* in-conference and local guys= small mindset Doug's list of guys is almost certainly nothing like the list of many fans, as if that couldn't be more evident in who he is handing out scholarship offers to in recent days.

Come on jimmy. There were Wisconsin badgers ones that were possible. I’m dumb Jayden stone is a good scorer. Ones i heard of no one else has heard of stone, egbuta, blocker? As horizon league fans? Jimmy? They all played in the horizon league? Brock heffner played for uwgb. So did Terrance Thompson. If you haven’t heard of none of these guys then your not horizon league fan jimmy. I know coach Gottlieb players is probably different. I meant you should be looking at a scorer in Jayden stone. When he’s still available this late. He’s like the number available transfer d1 scorer left. Marcus tankerlsey is in the top 10.

The greater point being is despite you pining for in-conference guys, I highly doubt Doug, Jordan, or Arrick could care any less about artificial conference boundaries. To that point, why not try to only raid the OVC? Close geographic proximity and similar level of competition! Of course each kid is a case-by-case situation, but I think they do not set those sorts of parameters for themselves when looking for a new team. Hell, Amari Jedkins said he chose GB to be closer to family, but recently packed up and shipped off to Montana. These guys are looking for a team fit, generally, above all else. The team is looking for guys that want to play here and win, those can be found across the globe. Why only look in your own backyard when you've got a telescope?

Yesterday The Field of 68 off the carousel talked with John Jakus the new coach at FAU and the talk about roster construction. It is a good watch you might learn something I did. Now Santoro was a 3 star recruit out of high school and was looked at a developmental player by Providence. That's the type of player he kind looking for. You do know this roster construction could go into July or August.

At least July to fill 7 scholarships? The thing about Detroit they got a guy last year a foreign France player Alex chillo never played. He couldn’t come to the United States. You got to get ducks in a row. Foreign players in college getting them into college late it’s tough.

Reminds me a ton of Manny Ansong. Listed at 6'5'' but looks to play far above his size because of his athleticism. Not much of a shooter, but he rebounds and scores in the paint very, very well. This is a great addition!

I had the same idea watching it I don’t know if it was his name or athletic ability.

Doug is doing a good job finding guys who fits what he want to do. Emanuel averaged 15 or 16 points per game, shot 60%, not much of a 3 point shooter but does not have to be, shoots 66% from the free throw line averages 10 rebounds per game. You guys are right he does play a lot like Manny. He also offered a freshman point guard from LA and a Junior point guard from Pittsburgh. Doug is looking all over the country for players. When was the last time that happened? Keep the Dudes coming.

Uwgb is not getting 8 high major transfers. Come on jimmy. You just got one, but if you're skeptical about getting 8 of them you're also acting like high-major transfers are some huge level up. I can tell you that in my experience as a Milwaukee fan, getting high-major transfers is no guarantee that a player is going to even see the floor. Remember our superstar Mitchell Carter? Harrison Henderson? I'm not saying guys who leave high-majors to come to mid-majors are bad or anything, but getting all hyped because a guy was at a high-major is making it about the wrong thing. Look at our commit Danilo Jovanovich from Whitnall HS in Milwaukee. Played sparingly on Miami's Final Four team and then played more on a bad Louisville team this season. Are we hyped because he was on the roster at two ACC schools? Not really. It's cool that the runner-up to Wisconsin Mr. Basketball is coming here, but he's maybe our sixth-most touted recruit. Another one is TJ Robinson, the four-star recruit who decommitted from Louisville. These two guys are the least lauded scholarship members of our recruiting class and they're the ones who were tied to "high-majors." There were Wisconsin badgers ones that were possible. Oh great some guys were available who played for a weakening Big Ten program in an offense that is maybe the furthest thing from the offense Doug Gottlieb wants to play at Green Bay. The last type of player Green Bay should be recruiting is guys who fit the Swing offense. Gottlieb wants to play the Five Out Motion offense. You need guys who can dribble, cut and pass, and you want your bigs to be able to hit outside shots. Donovan Santoro is more intriguing because he's been described as a guy who can shoot it from outside, not because he rode the bench at a Big East school. I’m dumb Jayden stone is a good scorer. Ones i heard of no one else has heard of stone, egbuta, blocker? Jayden Stone can play. But keep in mind the guy scored 23 ppg because he was shooting the ball 19 times per game. If you're getting Jayden Stone, you're getting it with the expectation that he's going to have super high usage and your team isn't gonna be very good. He put up big numbers because that team sucked. Think of the guys who put up numbers for you under Will Ryan and where they went afterward. Cade Meyer rode the pine at NKU and is going to D-II Concordia-St. Paul. Could Stone work for GB? Sure, he could work most places. I just don't think a team that plays Stone and feeds him the ball a ton is a very good team unless he's surrounded by a lot of talent. As horizon league fans? Jimmy? They all played in the horizon league? Brock heffner played for uwgb. So did Terrance Thompson. If you haven’t heard of none of these guys then your not horizon league fan jimmy. I think the more prudent question regarding Jayden Stone is, "why is a guy who scored 23 ppg still available in late May?" Tankersley would be an easier sell for me. My previous comment was really trying to get you to expand your horizons. Chances are 90% of the guys playing for you will be guys you had never heard of before.

Yep, we have no idea who is on the recruiting radar. My guess is Sanders contacts openned the door on the first two commits. The still to be announced assistant coach may have an in on a couple more players. JUCO ranks re under recruited theses days. Overseas players we may not now about for some time.
