Am I the only who notices some of the guy’s bad body language once they’re down and the other team is making shots? Doesn’t make me confident to say that this team can deal with adversity with guys putting their heads down and shaking their heads or looking disengaged. I completely agree. The second something goes wrong the entire train derails. At this point I think some of the blame has to be on coaching. Its constant each game that the other team makes adjustments and we have no answers.

I am still trying to figure out what they are trying to do on offense and defense. Cade is the best player on the floor, so why doesn't the coaches figure out a way to get him more touches. When the do get spacing they stand in one place. basketball is a game of motion. Short had some good moves to the basket, but why does he play so far away from it on offense and defense. He should be a rim protector. The guards dominate the ball to much. At least the should try to get touches in the post on each possession it might help to get more ope looks. In a small sample size Zane Short seems to play with energy and just maybe he could be a defensive stopper and that guy who can do the dirty work on offense. Now Daily was recruited by Darner I am guessing because of his offense. he needs to play with the same confidence he had in high school and he has to move around to get an open look. That is on the coaches to work with him on that and encourage him to shoot. It be nice to see the coaches made some adjustments once and a while. On the bright side the scored 65 points a season high, but they gave up 80. The best way for them to have a chance to win is to control the tempo for 40 minutes and play defense for 40 minutes. The team needs a leader on the floor. Someone who can hold everyone accountable. A good job for Cade.

So we're getting Utah Valley State tonight at 6:30PM. Sunday Night Football is Chargers and Chiefs - so tired of the Chiefs. Glad to watch this on TV rather than at my desk on the computer. I see us getting around 14 at most books. So I guess we hope to show up and play like we have never really shown we can play so far and then yes, this is a very winnable game for us! Sorry for the negativity, please make me eat crow.

Under 12 timeout against Utah Valley. Very much shaping up like the other games. We need someone to step up and make a shot. Heffner has made a couple plays in the post, but otherwise, lots of air balls and turnovers.

This team is dogshit. I keep trying to have hope for these guys and its more embarrassing each game. These guys legit look like they belong in division 3. Im not sure one returning player has showed one sign of improvement. Our center is 6' 9" and the team won't guard him more than 12 ft from the rim. No one moves on the offense. Half the shots look like they are taking them with their eyes closed. Thank god IUPUI is on the schedule so we can maybe be competitive against them. Hopefully the concession stands are stocked full of beer Saturday night or i may fall asleep in my seat

Saying they belong in D3 is disrespectful to most D3 teams. I was really trying to watch this one with a different mindset and at least attempt to find anything constructive or positive that might come from it, but I’m truly at a loss.

Utah team went to overtime against wake forest, so probably a decent team. However at least at this point, the stats suggest that Nix are not even close to this team or the previous teams.. Not clear if this is simply out matched over and over again or some coaching issues. Either way it is hard to see where 10 wins could come from this year, or even 5. Not clear how one can recruit talent at this point, does current coach show magic to suggest turning a corner? Eerily similar to packers. Ouch.

I tried to be positive going into the tournament but we could find a more entertaining team at the local YMCA

I’m not sure anyone GENUINELY believed any of these games were winnable. There is a legitimate chance we do not win a game this season. I’ll have to say, at least a couple guys are at least presenting like they’re still out there trying, which is about the only positive thing I can say, that’s how rock bottom this is. Garren Davis legitimately looks like he’d rather crawl across broken glass while set on fire than be anywhere near the court right now.

Also have to love the full court press we are utilizing down twenty with a minute left, followed by Will audibly yelling at the ref for calling Zae for a flop (which to be fair was a questionable call), exclaiming, “really?! You’re gonna call that NOW?!” To which I’d respond, “you’re really going to press in the backcourt on defense NOW?!”

This team needs to develop an attack mentality to augment Cade’s efforts. Put a stop watch on the dribbling of Jenkins and Davis, almost all not getting the ball to basket or to a scoring position for someone else. Looks like Wade and Blake are the only perimeter players who think they can make a 3- pointer when they take it, instead of hoping they’re not going to miss it. A shooter has that make-it mentality and now it looks like their opponents they’ve played believe they’ll do that against the Phoenix. Old Timer

Tonight was hard to watch. I really have no idea what they're trying to do on offense, and it looks like the players don't either.
The poster above's comment about not winning a game seems facetious, but is it? They're not even remotely competitive.

Old Timer I would like to say the offense should revolve around Cade but he does nothing that makes it seem like that can work. I mean the guy was lucky to hit the rim on half of his shots tonight and speaking of 3s I know he made one tonight but he needs to cut that out. He has to be like 1/15 on the year. Zae blake is the only guy i see on this team that provides consistent and competent scoring. You also are spot on with the 3 point shooting. No one looks confident. I am sitting here just hoping they touch the rim when they shoot a 3 let alone make it. I see better shooting at my local rec league than this clown show of a team.

This was not exactly an ideal schedule. Play Wisconsin on Tuesday night and then bus it to Chicago and then fly to Jamaica. Those guys had to be tired. Tonight a lot of shots seemed to fall short. Tired legs would do that. They are really bad at the half court game. No movement and again very little spacing. Defense was none existent. I can't believe that out of 4 coaches none of them know how to coach defense. Now they have 6 games before they play again and we can only hope the they can clean things up at least a little. Now they have back to back games and have 2 games in 3 days in California. They should look into how they do their schedules in the future.
