I saw a tweet that there are 25 schools interested in max. Cal is a good seeking point if you get him first. Alec a good 1 year rental?

Mark Miller @wisbbyearbook ·
Former Brookfield East star Patrick Cartier (6-9) is in the transfer portal. Cartier is a two-time NCAA Division II All-American at Hillsdale and led the school to an Elite Eight showing this year. He has two years of eligibility.

Phoenix assistant Brandon Pritzl helped recruit Cartier to Hillsdale when he was an assistant there. Cartier can play.

This is getting more interesting by the day. I know in the social media world most of the attention is focused on the big schools. In the P6 there are 75 schools with 13ish scholarships to give out. That is 975 players. With players they already have and players they are bringing in from high school there aren't going to be that many spots left.
In the portal you could make a reasonable case that BVP, Skogman and now Cartier could all give GB some consideration as a possible landing spot. The same can be said for guards such as Klesmit or Madsen. I have no clue who will fill the final 5 spots for GB. At least there are enough high level players with a reasonable connection to GB that could give the Phoenix a look if all of the high major spots are full. If you add a few of these guys to the guys GB already has, it would hard not to be optimistic about the results turning around in a hurry.

I see that Ben Carlson from UW Madison has entered the transfer portal. I don't see him as a recruit for GB but I think it increases the chances of Madison pursuing Skogman or VanderPlas.

^^^ Mason Madsen from Cincinnati is in the portal again and I didn't see that he committed anywhere. He didn't have a great second season so perhaps he is a guy that would be more attainable than he was in the past. I have no clue if there is mutual interest but he was recruited by GB while in high school and likely knows guys that are currently on the GB roster. Plus I thought his dad was on the team for a short time back in the day. He has three years left to play wherever he ends up.

It has been pretty quiet on the board for a few days I would be happy with any of the three bigs plus Klesmit and his brother the following year.

Looks like we can now use some additional talent at guard.

Max Klesmit has a top 4 uwgb is not in it. That’s a bummer. He’s got a solid list to choose from.

Kansas state Logan landers from Cedar Burg, Wisconsin freshman 3 years of eligibility played against uwgb. 6’10 big man. 3 star recruit out of high school so he’s gettable . Has experience as a big man in a big conference.
