Although some names there's been no official news release on assistants. Perhaps that is because of state guidelines for time of posting openings? Whose been hire or will be? What are their strengths? What has happened to Chrys Cornelius? If he's not on Darner's staff who takes that position?

Good question Tulsa.....I thought Randall Herbst was the only official hire as of this moment.

From what I understand Corn is not coming back so there are still two spots to fill.
As a side note Brian Barone did not take a job with Wardle at Bradley. I keep reading that his dad is ill and he is spending time with him. Also, I read there were other issues but Bradley fans who claim to in the know are not talking. Now Barone was never a serious candidate in GB, I think MEG wanted her own stamp. With that said I wonder did these other items also influence the decision?

I was at the FSC Winner's Dinner in Lakeland last night.
Per my discussion with Linc directly the staffing matters are settled and awaiting announcement.
All positions are being filled by people Linc has worked with before. Herbst's appointment is public knowledge. I posted here earlier (last week) that Ben Swank would be moving over. I have verification this from Ben himself and Linc. He's leaving Lakeland for GB any day now.
Not sure how much I should say about the other assist coaching job and the video position. As I stated they are both prior associates of Linc's. I suspect one will please y'all (probably a lot) and the other might not.
The one that will please you is a genuine Wisconsinite.

Do you think Swank would fill the DOBO position and Linc would bring someone on board who has more regional recruiting ties?

We don't have an opening or else Barone or Corn could very well have joined us - we have a great relationship with both of those guys. They'll land on their feet.

I'll guess Richard Harris as the final assistant and Rion Rayfield as DOBO.

I am pretty sure Barone will eventually find his way to Bradley in the future. They waited on him and it didn't work out this time. It looks like something bigger than basketball is going on right now.
Corn is a salesman, he will get a gig. I think he is a bit over rated by some as an actual coach.
Richard Harris is a hard name to google. Who is that?

I'm wondering if it is a "Richard" who's last name isn't "Harris".

I just opened a new thread regarding Linc's replacement as FSC coach.
Yup, everybody and their brother put in an app. It's a good gig!

Maybe.
FSC is a private institution and the salaries are not public record. (Unlike the UW system where even the janitor's salaries are public.)
FSC is not a large school, but runs a diversified and classy athletic program. It's a place for mature students. There's no skimming by academically - the BB players and other athletes are high academic achievers. Athletes are involved in community activities - frequently on their own initiative. The college president is dedicated to a quality basketball program. The weather's deluxe. If you're a striving coach it's a great place to be.
Linc stayed for nine years and liked it here. But there are limits. When the final second ticked off that clock and FSC won the D2 championship it was bittersweet for me. Unless Linc was a lifer I knew he would move on - and should move on. To not advance would have meant leaving a lot of money on the table, which is hard to justify when you have a family with kids. I want the new guy to achieve as much as Linc - and when he does I suppose he'll move on, too. It's just a fact of life. There's always a D1 school with deeper pockets who wants a new coach who's a winner.
Of course if the new guy sucks he'll get fired. But he won't. He looks like a winner.
