I am pretty sure Barone will eventually find his way to Bradley in the future. They waited on him and it didn't work out this time. It looks like something bigger than basketball is going on right now. Corn is a salesman, he will get a gig. I think he is a bit over rated by some as an actual coach. Richard Harris is a hard name to google. Who is that?
I'm wondering if it is a "Richard" who's last name isn't "Harris".
Yes, sorry. I meant Richard Davis. He assisted Darner at St Joes. Was the head coach there for 5 or 6 years after Linc left.

Looking at his resume I'd say he had potential at the time of the hire but was not ready to run his own program. He needed more time with a mentor. As a boss that's the role I played, it set up a win, win situation for members of the team.

Seth didn't stay around long. I'm not sure what he was up to. He's back in the domestic BB business now. I asked Linc about Seth and he told me what he's going to be doing this year and quite frankly I can't remember what he said. (My father was standing right there and he couldn't remember either!) I think he said Seth's going to be MoBO somewhere, but I can't remember where. (NOT UWGB.) Too much stuff going on that night! (The thought of concurrent senior moments is too grim to bear. Even if dad and I have pretty banged up bodies our minds are generally sound!)

I thought Seth Evans was at Wright State last year. I believe J mentioned that at one point.
Thinking of the assistant coaches, Saint Joseph's has two guys with ties to Linc. Tom Church and Jeremy Duerr are both there now and haven't done that well. Perhaps one or the other is looking to move on. I have no clue how good they are but they are currently working in the Midwest.
The think I find odd about Richard Davis is that he joined Linc for just one season before looking for other opportunities out of state. Is there any reason why?

I pay attention. In game he doesn't do much coaching, he is a people person and cheerleader. In any practice I have watched he was motivating but not as much instructing. In five years of listening to Wardle after games he rarely indicated that Coach Corn put together the scout for the game. In five years of listening to players they rarely mentioned him with their skill development. I have heard a few other things but they may not be appropriate for a message board. I think his strength is that he knows lots of people so he is solid on making recruiting contacts and scheduling. Edit: Wardle rarely indicated that Corn put together the scouting report for any big games.

Good call on a Seth Evans sighting: phearthephoenix.proboards.com/post/4800
Can't find out much else on that.

We don't know what became of Richard Davis last year. But he will definitely be at UWGB as an assistant shortly.

I assumed the turnover in assistant coaches for the Mocs had more to do with budget issues. Swank was the only assistant this past season and he was at an entry level in terms of experience. No knock against him -- just looking at his resume.

My father asked Linc at a tourney time luncheon how he liked working with only one assistant and got a serious frown as a response.
There were two for most of Linc's tenure. I don't know why it stayed at one for most of this season. Unfortunate, but it worked. It was a huge burden for two to handle.

@shooting the J:
Now that the coaching staff has been "officially" announced leaked by Linc did you know or was yours an very educated guess. You were, of course, quite right in increments.
For everyone else:
Happy with this? I hope so.
