Coach Wardle is there to answer questions teams may have about Alec Brown. Wardle has done everything he can to help Brown get drafted. That's what coaches do, and getting a player drafted helps recruiting. Great move by coach.

"One final -- what do you think Alec Brown's parents feel about the work Wardle and his staff have done with their son over the past four years?"
I don't know if you are serious or sarcastic, but I wouldn't open that up for discussion.

Wisco sports, if you think Wardell is there just for himself and it doesn't help recruiting or the visibility of the program you don't know college basketball.
I guess John calipari tries to get himself on tv during the draft each year to help himself for his next job, and not demonstrate to potential recruits what he can do for them. If they go to kentucky
What Alec brown is showing right now, is if you don't have a big time offer, you can go to Green Bay and they can help you get to the next level. Alec brown has worked hard with this coaching staff. Why would the head coach not be supporting him in one of Alec's biggest weekends of his life ? Why would you not use the opportunity to get green bays name out there as a mid major program that can produce an nba player. It doesn't even stop there....Keifer Sykes is on the roster. Recruits will start thinking, something's going on at that school. Huge marketing tool for the school.
What would the new athletic director think if Wardell wasn't there ? Think about it now, and get realistic.

Four years as a starter, a college degree and a solid shot at an NBA career -- I'd say Green Bay was good for Alec Brown and vice versa.

A pretty big week for Alec. He certainly didn't hurt his NBA stock at the combine and he earned his college degree.
As for the combine mouth pieces like Chad Ford were not impressed by the big men working out and just focused on the handful of guys that are big but didn't participate in the drills. Alec did get some attention from the other guys on the broadcast for his shooting. Plus he measured a legit 7'1" and beat some of the other bigs in the agility drills. Also, I thought he looked a little more muscular then when the season ended, he certainly didn't look out of place when the camera was on him. I am not sure he gets drafted based on the combine but I would have to think he will get a ton of individual workouts with teams. In those sessions he will have his best chance to improve his draft stock.

NBADraft.net has Alec going #54 in their latest draft. It is great that he has worked his way back onto their list, that must mean he is looking good in his workouts. As a stretch big I really think he has a chance to get into the league for a little bit.
