www.jsonline.com/sports/preps/friends-commit-to-play-basketball-together-at-northern-illinois-b99346905z1-274430821.htmlWhile it would have been nice to land Bradley it seems like he also wanted to play with his friend who was not recruited by GB to my knowledge. I am not sure what NIU is selling kids on but it certainly isn't wins. They have had 25 wins in 3 years with their coach. If Kanter is more of 3 as blackpanther thinks then GB fans can feel just fine. I still believe it is more important that GB lands Church. He should be on campus this weekend after being at Missouri State last weekend. I think he will be amazing in Wardle's system, he is a must get! I was thinking Indiana State would be prime competition for GB but they just landed a verbal from a different 2015 forward so that helps GB IMO.

I wouldn't put too much credibility in his statement that Kanter has "phantom size" or that he's really a SF. I've seen full game video of him playing at IMG, playing with 6'10" Chris Mccullough. Kanter is big, and powerful. He's a post player and at least a PF in the HL. Jimmy's statement that Kanter's highlights is filled with him shooting over "small and terrible players" is uneducated. Kanter's HS team played against the absolute best competition on the east coast. Teams filled with future D1 players. If Kanter was scoring over smaller players, is simply because he's big. I too like Church. Not much offensive skill, but an athlete the coaches can mold. I also like the energy level he plays with.

I believe Antoine Pittman will be in this weekend as well. His highlight clip makes him look like a better shooting version of Daeshon Francis. He was at Nevada last weekend so there is some strong competition for him.

Getting closer to landing Obediah Church! He cancelled his visit to Indiana State. Roy Schmidt tweeted a decision may be coming soon. I really hope the staff and team can get this done!!

I see Ohio just landed a big man too. So it seems it's Green Bay or Missouri State. Church would look good flying with the Phoenix.

Is Church on campus this weekend? Torres? ilprepbullseye.com/Sept_12_Visitors.htmlPer this article they were both supposed to be on campus this weekend. Coming into this weekend I had a good vibe about GB and Church. With him not going to ISU or Ohio that made me think he would only come visit GB if he wasn't already sold on Missouri State. If he knew Missouri State was the right place he probably would have committed already.

Gavin Sullivan, Church's AAU coach, confirmed that Obi is indeed down to Green Bay and Missouri State. Commit Joel Okafor is on campus this weekend too.

Is Church on campus this weekend? Torres? At this moment, no. They're at Lambeau Field. However, they were on campus too to see the top notch facilities and the tunnels to the classes, and all that good stuff.

Well Okafor, Pittman and Torres is a nice start. I can see some ball screen action with Okafor and Torres being hard to stop. I can see Pittman and Okafor pushing the court together.
I would have loved Church. I would have liked Bradley. With those guys off the board who do you want for the final scholarship? Are there any true 3's out there to take over for Fouse? What about a 5th big guy? I would have to think GB is set at guard now.

I'd guess they'll follow Garrison Goode, who's now at Dominican, very closely. He missed some of the AAU season with a broken foot, but he's the type of hard working athlete they look for.

Here is a quick question for anyone in the know. In the past GB was looking at Travon Bunch and D'Andre Downey. Both are big guys from SE WI that have moved on to play Prep or JUCO in the SE part of the US. They both are receiving mid major offers. Is GB still trying to recruit these guys? A game in Atlanta vs. Georgia State is both a good game and an opportunity to play in front of players in a different region. Last year GB tried to play in Atlanta as well.

I see that Cody Schwartz has committed to San Jose State today. On the local talent scene GB gets shut out with Pritzl going to UW and Heldt going to MU. I am not sure if all of those guys landed at the right levels and I do like the class that GB has so far so I am not crying about it.
I still haven't seen any names strongly associated with the last scholarship for GB. I do like the idea of being in position for a mid season transfer.
