I will be curious to see how close NBA people think Sandy is to playing in the league. The money is better overseas most likely but the exposure is better in the US. For sure he should be in Vegas for the summer league. Either way this is cool for him to be invited.

Going to change this to an all-encompassing Sandy Cohen thread.
Sandy is off to Minneapolis to play in the 3X3U National Championships representing the Horizon League. The 3 other players on Team Horizon League are Josh McFolley (Detroit Mercy), Mark Hughes (Wright State), and Drew McDonald (NKU).
They'll play 3 games during pool play and if they're one of the best 16 (out of 32 conferences) they'll advance to the next round.
Horizon League games (streamed live on Twitter @3x3uhoops):
Friday: 8:50 pm vs Big Sky Conference Saturday: 11:50 am vs Big Ten Saturday: 3:20 pm vs Ivy League

Sandy had 3 games in Portsmouth. Statistically he didn't do much but I read he had some NBA meetings.
I hope he gets to a summer league team and keeps moving forward.

Getting drafted is a pipe dream for Sandy but I hope he and his agent takes all the pros and cons from this week and gets him ready to compete for a G League spot or a solid opportunity overseas. I think Sandy has the skill set to get a chance someday in the NBA but i just doubt he will be on of 60 names called in June.

Doing some NBA workouts. Hopefully he can make a Summer League roster and can take advantage of that exposure.

Sandy made his first summer league appearance last night. He played 11 minutes and had 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
I hope he gets a little more clock time moving forward. He seems like the kind of guy who needs to get a little more comfortable and then will be able to use his athletic ability with his skill to make a bigger impact.

Two things stand out about this. First, Maccabi Tel Aviv plays in the EuroLeague, the top pro level in Europe. Second, he signed a long term contract of 4 years. That is a great starting spot coming out of Green Bay. Congrats to Sandy.
