I am happy that GB was able to come to terms with one of the extra tournaments and will play some more. They must have cut a pretty cheap deal because they certainly drew one of the best teams in the tournament without being one of the worst teams. ETSU is really good at home. ETSU is a really good on the glass, plus 10 for the season. ETSU scores a bunch and is plus 11 point differential. ETSU takes 36% of their shots from 3 and makes 36% of the shots they take from behind the line. They also have balanced scoring as 4 guys average between 10 and 12 points per game. This is a tall task but ETSU has has a fat record by beating weak teams. They lost to pretty much every good team they played. They also give up 37% from behind the arc so guys like JayQuan and Cody could be huge. They recruited Carlos Curtis and then barely played him. Down the stretch even in blowouts they barely played him. A win for GB could be a reminder to him to head home to WI No details yet about TV. ETSU/SoCon is a partner with ESPN+ and it also looks like some streaming is available on the CIT website. I hope something is available as playing the game becomes less exciting if I can't watch it.

They must have cut a pretty cheap deal because they certainly drew one of the best teams in the tournament without being one of the worst teams. It costs about $30,000 to host a CIT game but I don't think there is an entry fee for the road teams, but I could be wrong on that. GB probably has to cover the travel costs though so it looks like ETSU is about as close of a game as they could've gotten. Maybe Robert Morris is closer but not by much.

Robert Morris seems a lot easier to get to. GB to Pittsburgh seems easier than whatever they have to do to get to Johnson City, TN. My guess is Charlotte or Atlanta and then drive 3 or 4 hours. Of course I am assuming they didn't want to spend money on charter planes.

At least it's post-season basketball. Do we have a CIT banner in the Resch/Kress???

Game day! No clue what to expect tonight but I see that ETSU is favored by 11.5, which I think is kind of low considering how good they are at home and how bad GB is on the road.
I think these CBI / CIT games are kind of a crapshoot though in that you never know how motivated a team is to be playing in them. Maybe ETSU will (rightfully) be kind of down about not being the NIT and it will affect their play tonight? Who knows. I did notice that home teams are 3-0 in the CIT so far.
Also, according to Green Bay's game notes there is no radio broadcast tonight so the streaming video on the CIT website will be the only way to watch or listen to the game.

ETSU is without their coach and three starters. One would think that would be a good thing for GB but Forbes is out due to his father passing away. That would make me believe that ETSU will be ready to go to win the game for him.

That might have been our best half of offense since the Belmont game. Scary to think that GB is only up 10 after shooting it that well. Finish this off and move on.

Where has this team been all year?! Great road win against a tough opponent. Never thought I’d be excited for a CIT game, but I’m looking forward to the next one!

Unfortunately this is kind of a tainted win since ETSU was without their coach and 3 starters, and gb certainly didn’t make it easy on themselves going down 9 but I give them credit for not folding.
I highly doubt they are getting a home game unless they make the finals (they would be forced to). I’d like to see them play Marshall next. Maybe they can get a return home game outta it?
