Here is a list of this years transfers so far. Its over 200, and I know of 4 that are missing. A few familiar names: -TJ McConnel, the stud PG for Duquesne. His decision to leave got the coach fired. -Richie Edwards of Valpo. He played really well down the stretch, but is a really odd dude. Their 7'2" back-up center, Vucic, is also on the move. They're adding PG Lovonte Dority, who left South Florida at the semester break for a JC. He might beat out Buggs for their starting PG spot, though Buggs is an awesome defender. -Cale Zuiker of YSU. A Wisconsin native, his younger brother, a HS sophomore, is a high quality player too. -Chim Kadima of Loyola. Wisconsin native played over 20 minutes a game. Denzel Brito, their starting PG, is also leaving. He would have lost his spot to incoming Culley Payne, the former Iowa starter. -Ben Mills of Colorado. His commitment to Colorado came the weekend before Alec Brown was scheduled to visit there. Brown committed to Green Bay the day after Mills committed. Watching Mills and his Arrowhead team come from behind and then destroy Vander Blue's Madison Memorial team is one of my favorite state tournament memories. Mills played just 21 minutes this year. -Koang Duolony of Indiana St. GB recruited him out of HS. He's getting a medical RS, and transfers as grad student. Once looked like he was going to be good, but it never happened.

The list includes Josh Humphrey's brother, Matt. He graduates this spring, with a year of eligibility remaining. He'd be able to play immediately as a grad student if he chooses to play another year. He started this past season for a Boston College team that really struggled under a new coach. Matt is a lean, lanky wing player with a smooth lefty stroke.

We were surprised, but not shocked, about Richie Edwards....and for Vucic it was like "Why not last year?" Glad to see we aren't the only program losing some horses. Go Valpo!

Another addition to the list, Wisconsin Badger Jarrod Uhtoff. Didn't see that one coming. Huge loss for the Badgers.

I, for one, was very disappointed to see how Williams' career at GB turned out. He was undersized at the four as a junior because GB had suffered major roster turnover. This year, he should have gotten the chance, but injuries derailed him. He is a wonderful basketball talent and I hope he finds a chance to have a playing career overseas. He's a good egg.

This year, he should have gotten the chance, but injuries derailed him. Williams played only about 10 minutes a game at the 4, Turner started there. Williams played most of his time at the 3. Injuries derailed him, along with being a tweener. He was a very good rebounder and transition scorer, but was extremely turnover prone when playing on the perimeter, and was a little undersized at the 4. Good character, played hard, but he would have been a role player had he stayed. Fouse and Armstead have skillsets that better fit the 3 position. I expect Williams to dominate at Minnesota St as a post player, if he can stay healthy.

Now, according to this article, Ryan is severly limiting Uhtoff's transfer destinations. Why add the entire ACC? Is it just me, or is Ryan being petty?

This article suggests UWM will be adding Indiana St G Steve McWhorter. He was a Nix traget in HS as a PG, but player SG last year. He scored just 2 in our 1 point loss there, and was scored on repeatedly by Terry Johnson and Steve Baker. He is a decent, reliable player, but his inability to score really hurt ISU as the season wore on. Like the rest of the PGs Kowalczyk recruited, he is not a starting caliber player. Jeter has survived at UWM by adding quality transfers who wanted to play closer to home. McWhorter isn't that caliber of impact player. Jeter continues to fill his roster with veteran low ceiling players. They're starting to look like the next UIC.

2 more players transferring from the Horizon League, both were among the conferences highest rated recruits the last 2 years. Jay Harris, who shot us down at Valpo this past year but was wildly erratic, is leaving Valpo. Shaq Boga is following his brother out of Milwaukee. He is headed to a JuCo.
I like to poke fun at Milwaukee, but I'm starting to feel sorry for them. This Conference doesn't need another UIC. It's already May 1st tomorrow and they still have 5 scholarship spots to fill. 1 of their 8 scholarships is filled with a transfer who needs to sit out next year. They have only had 1 recruit come in who is still considering them. Good thing they have numerous walk-ons, as they might need them to fill out their rotation.

All-newcomer winner Julius Mays is leaving WSU as a grad school transfer. Tough break for WSU. I thought they'd be solid this year. Hard to say that now.

Ryan Harrow and Julius Mays, Kentucky Once again, the Wildcats reeled in a massive freshman class, headlined by defensive force Nerlens Noel, but the ultimate success of the Cats in John Calipari's dribble drive attack may depend on Harrow (N.C. State) and Mays (Wright State) providing lead guard competence and a welcome dose of shooting. In last season's media guide, Calipari said of Harrow: "Ryan should be in the best position of any point guard I have ever coached because he's got a year to be tutored without the pressure of having to play." If that's true, the Cats have a legit chance to repeat as national champs. Read more: sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/andy_glockner/05/18/impact.transfers/index.html#ixzz20tloY0VK
