Not sure how Brown is on the 1st team all conference team but not on the defensive team. I think defense is the most advanced part of his game. He rebounds and blocks shots like a much older and more physical player. Still a nice award for Alec, congrats!
I think Keifer should have won the NOY award. For a freshman to play at his level was really impressive. Plus his team started winning as he played better. Again congrats to Keifer.
I am sure there are plenty of players around the league that are wondering why they are not on the different lists.

Not sure how Brown is on the 1st team all conference team but not on the defensive team. I thought that was odd too. Never thought Trevon Harmon was a bigger impact defender than Brown. We just faced Harmon, he sure couldn't defend Sykes. Rebounding is part of defense, and Brown has lead the Phoenix to dominance on the glass all year. Teams gameplan to get Brown away from the hoop. No one gameplans for Trevon Harmon's defense. Sykes was also very deserving on NOTY, but Julius Mays is good too. He'd score 20 in a faster paced offense. However, Sykes impacts the game with more than just his scoring average. Those 2 quibbles aside, I think this years awards are the most accurate in years. It shows how young the HL is, with no seniors on the 1st team and just 2 seniors on the 2nd team. This league will be awesome next year, lead by the Green Bay's 2 POTY candidates, Brown and Sykes. By the way, was there anyone in the world who had Kevin Van Wilk on their pre-season all-conference team? I never saw that one coming, but he clearly earned the award.
