Hello everyone- yes I was the one who pointed out how much of a lunatic Divilbiss could be. I don't believe that the behavior when he was here at Green Bay was quite as extreme as it was in Illinois but I do know that no one was disappointed that he did not get the head coaching job here when Bollant left. He was never a candidate for the job here as Ken Bothof was well aware of what occurred with his behavior. The final two years of being 65-4 certainly hid a lot of things.
As for Bollant- I tend to view him as an average in game coach (much of the in game coaching came from Divilbiss) and with recruiting- I think he was good at selling himself to others but I'm not sure how much that helped in the overall recruiting process. I don't think that anyone can deny that a majority of the success that brought the 65-4 record & the sweet 16 appearance came due to having 3 of the top 6 or 7 players in program history- Kayla Tetschlag, Celeste Hoewisch & Julie Wojta (all Borseth recruits).
But back to the reason for my post- if you haven't already done so- read the letters that the parents of Taylor Tuck, Taylor Gleason & Jacqui Grant in the link below. If I am the schools athletic director or university president- I am not sure how it's possible to keep Bollant in place as the coach. I think the negatives of keeping him on as head coach far outweigh the positives. As one other poster commented- I am not saying I want Bollant to lose his job- but I just think that the damage done is beyond repair for him to keep moving the team forward.

Good insight shamrock.....It's too bad that Bollant stuck with this guy, which helped him get to where he is today (career-wise), but sticking with this guy will be the reason why Bollant will also take the fall. If there are Title IX implications and on top of the Tim Beckman abuse allegations, the AD for U of I may also go down.
This makes the process that GB followed during the allegations of abuse by BW from the parents of Ryan Bross and Brennan Cougill valid and that the UWGB did the right thing by having an independent investigation done. BW can be an a**, but not to the degree that both parents (more like Cougill's mom who roped the Bross' into her fight) had described.
