Green Bay needs to log some more of those ever important road victories. Despite Milwaukee's struggles, the Nix can't take them lightly like they did with Chicago State. Jeter has switched to a 4 guard lineup recently, and the Phoenix need to crush them on the glass like they did WSU.
Milwaukee really misses Kelm and Aaron. They haven't replaced them. JJ Panoske, a one time GB commit, hasn't developed at Milwaukee.

In the games I have watched Milwaukee has taken a lot of 3's. Lately Wichmann has been cold, hopefully he stays that way. In the recent games I have watched Lyle was getting a lot of 3 point looks from the corners, GB will have to watch that.
For sure Tiby is going to bring extra energy to the game, GB will have to match that with out it getting in their head. That is what Tiby specializes in, he gets guys emotional and they start to play out beyond their limits.
On paper this should be a GB win. Milwaukee isn't the best defensive team or rebounding team. Plus they shoot 3's and defending that is a strength for GB. Yet in a rivalry game all bets are off and until GB walks out of the arena with a win I will nervous.

Tiby seems to be playing more under control this year. Perhaps because they really can not have him get into foul trouble. They do not have any other bigs playing well.

This game should not be even close. GB just beat a much more talented Wright State team handily. But this Milwaukee team is unpredictable. I think you might see a little more man defense by the Phoenix, after heavily depending on the zone against WSU.
There is not a player in college basketball I despise more than Matt Tiby. He's not a bad player and gets a lot out of his limited athletic ability, but he's just an absolute clown on the court. I liken him to a goon in hockey or a taller, less talented Marshall Henderson. Complains, shouts, tries to antagonize, the whole works. The Phoenix should be able to use a combo of McKinnie, Lowe, and Big Hendo to frustrate him and hopefully run him into a T. Uwadiae has shown a bit of an edge in previous games (Morehead State), so I'd like to see him scrap with Tiby a couple times and potentially put him in his place.
Good revenge game for Green Bay: GB-77 MIL-59

Agreed, the Phoenix should roll in this one. As someone mentioned earlier, Wichmann has been struggling. I went to HS with him and I can promise that he is nothing special. This is a matchup that should be exploited to its fullest extent. He has no quickness or strength so anyone who guards him will be able to shut him down and whomever he guards should run circles around him. Milwaukee is a scrappy team so they will put up a fight, but I look for the Phoenix to pull away in the second half. GB 78 - UWM 52

GB up 47-27 at half. Sykes having a monster 1st half with 22 pts. A lot of players helping out Love, Mays, Fouse.
Francis and Botz with a few good minutes, Amack having some foul trouble so not many minutes.

Final 79-63 GB wins. Sykes 34 points ties career high, Love, Mays Fouse all had very good games. Bad: FT's team 12-22 has got to get better. Defense only so so in 2nd half but UWM played hard and really made GB earn this win. UWM has a better team than their record shows. I found the stat's on the game, they weren't there yesterday. I think I'll just call it a off day for Amack. sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/green-bay-phoenix-milwaukee-panthers-201501090654/

12/22 from the line is not great. 1/4 from McKinnie, 0/2 from Lowe. Rest of team 11/16 which isn't bad. McKinnie is usually better and I just pray Lowe never goes to the line. 6/9 from Mays is passable at least.
The second half of this game was painful to watch. No flow thanks to some, what I thought was, overzealous officiating. Seemed to be a whistle every couple of seconds. Luckily the first half more or less took any doubt out of the outcome. I think the Phoenix got a little lax after jumping out to the big lead and Milwaukee was able to go on a couple of runs. Botz was guilty twice of sagging off of shooters too far and allowing easy jumpers. Fouse even got lost once while helping in the first half, allowing a wide open three for McWhorrter.
Mays with a second nice game since the benching. More aggressive to the basket tonight and only took two or three jumpers from distance. Really liking that we're getting more of the 2013-14 Greg Mays these past two games.
Can't say anything about Sykes that hasn't already been said. Solid game for Love who looked to get to the rim a lot more than settling for jumpers. And Fouse filled up the stat sheet. All in all a solid effort and any road win is a good win.

Great win. Green Bay continues to be on a different level than Milwaukee. Sykes with a huge game in front of scouts from Miami and Houston. Carrington Loves speed in transition is unmatched. Jordan Fouse continues to be a playmaker. 11 of 13 wins have been by 13 or more.

Great game to watch overall. I was really impressed with how the team seemed to click and made plays look so easy, like the Sykes to Mays alleyoop. The way this team is playing right now just proves that they are the team to beat. No real negatives I took away from the game other than the god awful commentary on ESPNU and the no call on Tiby when he kicked Botz in the face.

It seemed like a very business like win for GB. I didn't get the sense that they were overly amped up to play and were going over their limits to try and make plays to win. I felt like they knew they could just make the plays they needed to make to win, nothing more and nothing less. Every time Milwaukee made a run GB would gather themselves and make 2 or 3 big shots.
Great to see Greg Mays with another active game. Now it is time to get him and McKinnie rolling at the same time. Carrington with a very quiet 15 but he did make his drives look effortless. I am pretty sure they called a bad charge on him as well that wiped out a bucket. Springs made a similar play and they called a block.
Tiby kicking Botz is so bush league, I don't mind playing hard, being intense etc. but there is no place for that in college hoops.
Announced crowd of 3700+, that isn't very good for a Friday night rivalry game. I thought GB had a nice showing of fans at the game.

No real negatives I took away from the game other than the god awful commentary on ESPNU and the no call on Tiby when he kicked Botz in the face. Tiby's cheapshot is the perfect example of the lack of discipline that has been the trademark of the Rob Jeter era. For the stunt Toby committed he should be sentenced to play for one of the worst teams in the country. Wait, nevermind, he already does.
