"Macura is a shooter with absolutely limitless range".
The video, like most gives too small of a sample to judge his overall ability.
His release point is really low. Reminds me a little bit of Kam Cerroni's low release earlier in his HS career, and, for those that remember Nathan Zastrow's release point his first two years in HS. Both successfuly changed their release and it worked for them. Macura is longer and will probably be expected to do more off the dribble?
Has anyone seen him play? Can he rebound and defend?

Ryan James mis-reported the Green Bay offer to JP Macura. He meant UW-Milwaukee. How do you get those two programs confused? One has a shot at the big dance this year, while the other plays in a HS gym. No GB offer to Macura yet, Jerrelle Deberry and TJ Schlundt remain priorities. Both have high major interest, but no high major offers yet. If they do get high major offers and GB moves on, I wouldn't be surprised if GB showed greater interest in Seymour's Sandy Cohen. That is just speculation on my part.

There's a lot more on him than just that video, Macura is a shooter with limitless range. Every reort on this player raves of his shooting prowess. I'll provide links if we get reports of GB actually recruiting this player. Agree that his release is low, but as you detail it's an easy fix, and he is just a HS junior. Your question of his defense is a legit question, as Coach Wardle is very cognizant of defensive potential in his recruiting. It is in stark contrast to Kowalczyk's "offensive skill only" recruiting style. Not saying Macura can't defend, just that if he gets a Green Bay offer, then we'd know that he has the potential to defend. Not surprising, Kowalczyk has already offered Macura.

Mark miller tweeted yesterday that Sandy received an offer from North Dakota. Here is the story (subscibers link) Miller did on Cohen. I've only seen him a couple times. I like the physical gifts. What do you think of him Marcus31x?

I really like his potential. Very athletic, hits the glass, runs the floor well. Has a decent skill set for an athletic guy. Has a pretty good handle and has nice lift on his jumper. Range out to 3 point land, but definitely a lot of room for improvement on the perimeter. Is really effective on defense at the top of Seymour's 1-3-1 defense. They don't play a lot of man to man D, so hard to comment on that.
Seems to fit what Wardle recruits. Kind of seems like he is they type of player somewhere in between Jordan Fouse and Kenny Lowe. Seymour plays Little Chute this year. I definitely plan on going to check out Botz, Lowe, and Cohen all in action together.
Not sure if he has always gone to Seymour, but I could find out. But why does it matter?

any news on the lefty from Marshall? I see he is now listed as a recruit of the badgers along with LaChance, and T.J (GB offer already) for the WI 2014 class.

Here an interview from NY2LASports with Cam Ward. No offer yet from the Phoenix, but Ward talks highly of Green Bay: Wisconsin-Green Bay is one of the schools highly interested in Ward, and the 6-2 guard was able to make a visit there this past summer.
"I really liked it there," Ward told NY2LASPORTS.COM Tuesday night. "I like Coach (Brian) Wardle. How he is with his players, how he's so energetic. That's what I like about Green Bay. "They were just telling me they like how I run and my decision making. They can see me playing the one or the two. They think I'm a lot like (Kam) Cerroni."

Mark Miller is reporting Seymour's Dakota Oskey is considering a potential preferred walkon opportunity from GB. Interesting.

I was looking at some video and I think Deberry is a must get. He isn't super athletic but he is long. He seems to work hard. He can dribble to a spot and get his shot off. While his shot isn't text book it is effecitve. He is a little flashy but I think that will get toned down in college. Cole will be the only SG on the team that year, get Deberry and groom him to be a starter by his second year.

William Whelan from Rivals reports that GB has offered a scholarship to 6-9 center Zach Braxton from Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I thought I remember reading somewhere that he has ties to Wisconsin, but I cant remember where I read that Here's his Rivals page and his ESPN page
