Not a surprise. He looked lost in the games he did play in, and with McKinnie and Lowe coming in next season, and with Brown (hopefully), Mays, Fouse, and Turner (maybe depending on his recovery) coming back to the frontcourt, he would have not left the bench again......If it weren't for the injuries and suspensions during the season, he could have benefited from a redshirt year.......Best of luck to him.
With that open scholarship, BW needs to bring in a shooting guard stat!!!

Actually a little excited to see that scholarship open, hopefully they can bring in a juco kid who can bring some success. Like a Baker, or J-Will.

Like most I am not surprised that Arenz is leaving. He never looked comfortable when he was in the games. His skill level seems like a better fit for D2 or lower. I know the article mentions UW Lacrosse or Winona State.
Ryan Bross leaving doesn't surprise either. He had a long way to go to become a viable big man. I am not sure what level he should play at if he decides to plays at all.
I agree they need to bring in some outside shooting. If not I wouldn't mind taking a chance on a high major transfer. I read that Martin Breunig from Washington is leaving. He played at St. John's Military and I think GB had him in a few times. From what I remember he could shoot from outside as a big man. I am not sure his style would fit with the rest of the bigs they have. I just like the idea of getting a guy from a higher level and seeing if he can make good in the HL.

Both Arenz and Boss are leaving. Boss never had much of a upside seeing he just started playing BB his senior season and didn't get any scholarships. He probably was just a practice player for AB. I'm hoping 2 scholarships open up. With the loss in quickness that DT had after his return last year I hope he just concentrates on getting well. I know he's a competitor and loved watching him play healthy but it was painful last season when he didn't have the legs. From what I've heard his GP is high enough he could get a regular scholarship? This does create some excitement about who we get. I agree a shooting lights out guard is #1.

Regarding Arenz and a couple other personnel type questions for you guys:
Cannot blame Arenz for leaving, but I personally could not say he was sub-par given we really didn't see too much of him. To me it seems like Arenz (and certain other players) on this team play like they will be yanked from the game upon missing a shot or committing a turnover.
COUGILL - can anyone explain why his minutes diminished so much as the season went on? Was he being punished for his suspension? I thought we desperately needed some muscle down low, and cannot understand why he wasn't playing more.
COLE STEFAN - as mentioned by someone else on another thread, no doubt he wishes he was still with LaSalle and in the Sweet 16 considering he is not getting large minutes with GB, sharing time with Muhammad and Love.
KAM CERRONI - I read somewhere where he was quoted as saying his decision to leave had nothing to do with reduced playing time. This was not a freshman that didn't fit, he was a junior. So, if it wasn't playing time, what do you suppose those "differences" would have been?
Maybe I am over-analyzing or expecting too much. It's kind of hard for me to explain. It seems to me like this team is missing chemistry (too much state of flux throughout the season) and/or some team identity or individual role definitions. Does anyone else get this impression or am I being overly critical?
