I was rooting for the senior group to make it this year.
As for Wright St. I was very impressed. I could see them being conference favorite going into next year. They were quite impressive without their leading scorer. A very quick looking team.

I was pulling for WSU based on Valpo's antics after the GB loss on Saturday, but we also need our best representative in the NCAA's.....This year's WSU team would have drawn a 15 or 16 seed and would have gotten killed.
I think Valpo will at least garner a 13 or 14 seed.....and have a better shot of pulling an upset based on matchups.

Congrats to Valpo. They played all season like a team lead by 6 seniors, and earned the right to dance.
As for WSU, I just don't see much upside or growth. They started 4-0 in conference play, but have went just 8-8 since. That's a half season of mediocrity. A solid team for next year, but not a team capable of carrying the torch for the conference.

Good game Valpo. Go get them and watch out of the Nix next season when GB will have the most athletic team in the conference.

I don't think I've ever seen a smarter offensive player in the Horizon League than Ryan Broekhoff. He's going to make some high-major look stupid next week.

The turnovers by Valpo in the HL CHampionship Game were troublesome, especially with a team of 5 senior starters and 6 seniors in the roation. If they limt those and Broekhoff can get a big game, I can see them pulling off an upset depending on matchups.

As much as I was disappointed with losing to Valpo, I did want them to represent the HL in the big dance. I thought they had the best chance of winning a game and representing the league well.
I tuned in to the game with Valpo up 40-34. I thought the WSU defense was amazing as they recovered to take the lead. I felt like when WSU had the lead at 50-44 (or so) they played too fast on offense and got away from their game.
