Heldt, Moesch, Pritzl and a UWM recruit in the house. Anyone else? Turner Botz, Dakota Oskey, Sandy Cohen, and Mason Domansk (sophomore for Waupon who averages 18 a game). I'm also pretty sure Stevens Point standout freshman Trevor Anderson was there.

I look forward to the game against Milwaukee every year for the rivalry part but some of their students are completely ignorant. They were shouting Keifer sucks, 7 foot tall and you can't ball, go to jenny craig, did you get your tattoos in prison among other things that were completely out of line. In addition, my wife told me when we got home that one of them told my daughters to shut up when they were cheering. For obvious reasons she did not inform me of that during the game. Not sure what they teach them but am pretty sure ignorance is on top of the list.
Also, it was great the Green Bay students finally came out but did not show up. They sat in their seats and did not say much even when the Milwaukee students made fun of them. I graduated from Green Bay in 1995 and the student section was packed, loud and entertaining which HAS to return. I do not buy into the statements that the Resch is too far to drive and the seating for students is bad. The Arena is next door and the seating was worse. They need to take pride in their school and come out and show it.

Unfortunately, aside from Botz I would not expect to see any of the HS kids that were there last night to end up at GB. Nice that they came out though!

Trevor Anderson scored 33 points against a good Appleton West team the other night. I believe there is another very good freshman on the Stevens Point team.

That WSU loss in 2OT a couple weeks back looms large......and now even more annoying. No doubt. With a win in that one, we'd be playing for the conference title Saturday. Valpo would still have the #1 seed clinched. They swept WSU, while we would have split. They split with YSU, while we swept YSU. (the highest YSU could have gotten was even with WSU). Tie breaker then would've come down to UIC, who we split with and Valpo swept them. Thus giving Valp the #1 n matter what. The only way the double OT game looms large is if we lose and WSU wins on Saturday.

Sam Hauser is the other Freshmen and is the son of Dave Hauser, who played HS BB in Oshkosh and was the former coach at Hortonville and New London. I think he might have another son in grade school coming up. I understand Point has a big kid 6'8"? coming in as a Frosh next year. It is unfortunate they have to go to Oshkosh and play North on their home court Thursday night. This could be a prelude to a matchup next year, as North plays a lot of underclassmen. Of course, if Point wins, they would get the home court advantage on Saturday.

All true, but I still think there's some cache to being conference co-champions.

Among them, I think Matt Heldt is seriously considering becoming the next Alec Brown. Having him watch Big Al score 28 in person doing all the things Heldt will do doesn't hurt at all.

Good to see Greg Mays play well. There is little doubt how much better off the Nix are that JJ Panoske decommited opening a spot for Mays. GBPhoenix1 described Panoske earlier in the year as a spaz. That is dead on. Panoske, despite blocking a few shots, is just a dreadful defender. Alec Brown never got easier looks than he did in this one, and Brown capitolized. Panoske is extremely soft with no basketball IQ. I forgot that I wrote that about Panoske. JJ hit an early 3 and then disappeared. I like Mays a lot better. Good to see Greg take and make a few jumpers. One of his better all around games. It was good that when push came to shove the Phoenix pulled out a win. Alec with a great game, he brought the blocks and the boards. We need at least 4 more games just like that! It took me over a day to get my voice back after drinking and yelling so much at the game. It was a lot of fun. I am not a bobblehead guy but I love that fans can get their hands on a "Coooooogsss" bobblehead tomorrow!

You were'nt the only one hoarse. Our season tickets are close to the opponents bench and there was alot of yelling going on. The last 6 minutes were oh so sweet. LMAO
