Welcome to the board!
I'm a Cole believer and I actually think he could be a starter next year. He has had some really good looks this year, they just aren't dropping for him, he's only 3 for 15 this season.
That is better than Cougill who is just 7 for 44 (15.9%).
Overall this team is just not a very good three point shooting team. If Stefan could get going, he'd get more minutes. He's only played in 8 games so far this season, hopefully he can get the rust knocked off

It is just too bad that Cerroni cannot create his own shots. I think that the defenses can cheat, knowing he cannot beat anyone off the dribble

From the UIC board, UIC grad and MU season ticketholder, as well. Can definitely see how you beat MU at home this year. You've got some bigs that have some potential and caught MU not respecting you guys. They've had a history this year of not playing hard when they don't respect the oponenet and have been in other much too close games at home. The win counts in any event. Regarding UIC and turnovers. UIC has a pretty good defensive team too and maybe some of your turnovers resulted in some of UIC's defnesive effort. If I remember correctly you won a close one in GB earlier in conference. Maybe we are pretty evenly matched teams...... Which makes for closely fought contests.......... Round 3 might be in the HL tournament later............ Best of three anyone?

At what point do we start looking at the coach for being mediocre when we have the talent to win more games? Brian does a great job recruiting but can't seem to get results. Dan Turner belongs on a D2 team, not starting for us. Stop playing him, this isn't 6th grade where everyone gets a shot to play. And how do we keep turning the ball over that much? We have to be one of the worst teams in the country at TO margin. Pound the ball inside and let's get some wins!

I think you're assesment is accurate. 1 or 2 calls makes the difference in the game. Also 1 or 2 less turnovers would have the same effect.

I love watching him play because of the effort but he doesn't have the skill level with all his injuries. If you watched the UIC game 1/2 of our turnovers was forcing the ball into the low post. They kept cheating knowing we weren't going to shoot from the outside. Just no passing lanes to the inside when other teams don't respect your shooting. It's what we did to Marquette. Yes the time for Cole has come, the only way he's going to get better is playing after such a long layoff(sadly he lost 3 nonconference games when he could have been force feed more playing time). Kam is another player I like but watching him try to dribble is painful. His only shot is off a screen. GB probably has the best talent in the conference, we just have to get it going!

Mays needs to get more minutes and DT's minutes need to go down unless we're up big.....DT was one of the last recruits in the TK area (along with Kam Cerroni) that stayed after TK left for Toledo. It seemed with TK that he either really hit big with a recruit (Flores, Mendiburu, or Evanachko) or whiffed big time (Tang, Childs, and it is apparent that DT may be on the whiffed list), but most of TK's players (even those who were productive) could shoot the ball well, but very one dimensional, and could not defend a chair (Terry Evans was the exception, but even he was a lazy on the ball defender at times, but made up for it with the steals he made).
It seems with BW right now, we are better and deeper at the PG position, but now we can't shoot the ball from beyond the arc, but have more issues with turnovers.
