Green Bay (10-10) @ Milwaukee (5-15) Friday, 1/25/13, 8:00 Klotsche Center TV: ESPNU
The road woes end here. Love it when road games are on TV. Milwaukee set a HL recond last night by scoring just 8 points in a half in a loss at UIC.

I wish the game was in downtown Milwaukee, at the Cell. The Panthers were embarrassed in their last game earlier this week so they should be out to prove something tonight. It should be interesting to see how the Nix respond to playing in a phone booth type venue. I expect some GB fans on hand with friends and family from the Chicago, Milwaukee, Green Bay and Racine area.

I am very concerned about this game. Sure uwm hasn't been that good this year but this is a game players and fans get up for. Plus I think what happened to uwm earlier this week is the kind of thing they can rally around while the Phoenix might overlook them. Add in the Phoenix is 0 for the season on the road and I am not sure this is going to be easy.

Add in the Phoenix is 0 for the season on the road and I am not sure this is going to be easy. The GB players have major reason to be up for this game too. If they can't win a road game, it will cost their coach a job. I'm confident Wardle will have them ready to beat this sad ball club. No excuse for anything but victory tonight. Milwaukee might have a hot streak where they chuck in a few 3s in a row, but GB just needs to weather the storm and let its overwhelming talent take over.

Dominant win by the Phoenix. They absolutely abused Milwaukee inside. I think we can put this myth that playing in a tiny gym would give Milwaukee an advantage to bed.
Milwaukee might be the most undisciplined team I've ever witnessed. You know what is really sad about them? They have 5 seniors, and only 3 scholarship underclassmen. They still haven't hit rock bottom.
I thought the Phoenix showed poise tonight, they were focused on the win. Carrington Love had a break away steal with a chance to dunk in his home city, but turned it down for the safer layup. That was the turning point in the game. They played outstanding team ball from that point forward. They're really starting to pass and share the ball well.
With the road hex dead, I'm hoping for more of this in Chicago next week. Go Phoenix!

It was a dominate second half. Stefan looked like he was becoming game ready giving the team anothe routside option. Mays was a little behind the curve after missing three games. The on campus venue UWM is using is pretty sad. The program is clearly in trouble despite having some talent on the Panther roster.

I wasn't able to go to the game in person but I did catch it on the U. I would say that GB stayed within in their game plan and played consistent throughout the night. It just took a combination of uwm getting tired and missing some of the bad shots they force for the lead to expand. It was great to get this win.
On the individual side for GB, I thought Alec was solid and engaged the whole game. Add in his Valpo game and he has a strong chance for HL player of the week.
I thought Cougs had another nice offensive run and Keifer kept attacking all game despite some misses. He helped set that tone for bringing it all 40 minutes. I would love to see Mays get his mojo back. It was hard to find minutes for him since the staff seems love the intangibles of a healthy DT.
On the flip side this has to be frustrating for uwm. On ESPNU, laregest crowd all year, against the instate rival and lose by 20 at home. Not sure how to come back from that.
