Kampe is suspended for this one. Probably won’t matter in the end, but GB needs every advantage they can get at this point.

The referee in question also got suspended, but in his case, he received the permanent boot from the Horizon League. No single call will cause the the league to fire an official, and the foul call in the video in inconclusive (did the defender hit the arm or not?). There was mention of a call in a game last year when Oakland played Toledo, but there has to be more than that. x.com/RefObserver17/status/1884367319708635404

Do we know if this official had a history of very bad calls? I keep having nightmares of former NBA official Tim Donaghy.

NBA is filled with Tim Donaghy. Listen to Whistleblower podcast.

Well, it’s 29-29 at half time. Just got home and going to check out the latest effort. Anybody watching, and what are your thoughts?

Just following stats on cell, Oakland has a lot more shots and rebounds than the Nix. Very surprising to see a tie score given the stats as well as missing a good starter.

I just got logged in to watch. Five minutes have gone by and Oakland has outscored GB 14-1 to start the second half. EDIT: Now it's 22-7 in the 2nd half. Unreal..............................
And on an unrelated note, is that floor amongst the worse in college basketball? It's right up there with the Oregon ponderosa pine floor (or whatever it is) and the Boise State blue football field.
And since I'm complaining, the GB uniforms look like bad wrestler singlets. 'Nuff said.
Over and out.

Honestly I’d rather go back to the games prior to the last four where they played like shit the whole game vs giving us false hope for 20-35 mins.

Rinse and repeat. Tied at the half only to forget how to play basketball in the second. It’s getting redundant calling out the same mistakes by the same players each game, so I won’t bother. Mukeba is doing literally whatever he wants in the paint, he’s a raw but imposing guy that no one on the Nix can dream of matching up with. To your point about the floor, UO revised their floor so it doesn’t look as bad. I was most recently at M Knight Arena a year ago and that has to be one of the worst atmospheres for basketball I’ve ever been in — morgue silent and a court that looked like it was covered in excrement.

You can see parts of the team coming together, though. In the Will Ryan years, there was never even false hope. I prefer a let-down to perpetual misery, but I guess that’s personal taste.

Out-rebounded 46-22

Another game, another embarrassing debacle. While injuries have crushed us this year, it’s highlighted our lack of D1 depth. Outrebounded dramatically again (46-22) and Coach has amazingly not changed our defensive strategy. Please, somebody let DG know that finishing last in all of D1 basketball will not get us the #1 pick in the college draft. Where is Dick Lien when you need him?

We need bigger bodies for next season. We look like a HS JV team compared to Oakland.

DG’s talking points in 2024-25
1) Adam Schefter Twitter engagement 2) NobodyU 3) Worst losing streak in program history
Oh and let’s not forget being on the radio all week.

You can't expect to win any games when you don't rebound and don't score.
On the bright side, if such a thing exists, they had a strategy in place to get the ball to the baseline and deep corners which historically gives OU problems. However, the put up enough bricks (other than Wonders) to rebuild the O'Rena from the ground up.
The rebounding effort and strategy are laughable. Then when they finally did get some rebounds they had really dumb turnovers.
Just a terrible game for GB.
