For those without tickets, I believe the Appleton Post-Crescent is going to stream the game live tonight at 7:00. You can get a glimpse of Botz and Lowe, and Diamond Stone from WBD.

Whitefish Bay @ Little Chute Live StreamingAbove is the link to watch tonight's outstanding match-up. Nice option, but I'll be in the stands for this one. Not often you get to see 2 Green Bay Phoenix recruits take on a Marquette recruit (Duane Wilson) and a top 5 national recruit in 6'9"sophomore Diamond Stone. Preseason #1 in division 3 versus preseason #1 in division 4.

Lowe took Stone to school last night. Botz was a glue guy. Little Chute is a solid team. Duane Wilson is a national elite player.

If one were a head coach, and you had the luxury of picking between these two players, which one would you take:
Diamond Stone Kevon Looney

Frankly it would depend on the luggage each is carrying. I suspect Stone may be a better long term investment because he is a true senator.

If one were a head coach, and you had the luxury of picking between these two players, which one would you take: Diamond Stone Kevon Looney Stone, as the 5 rated recruit in his class nationally is as overrated as when I said the same about JP Tokoto when he was the 5th rated recruit in his class. Tokoto's rating fell, and so will Stone's. This is the 4th time I've seen Stone, including when he set the state tournament blocked shot record. Stone has a mammoth frame with long arms, but not much else. Hasn't progressed from last year like I thought he could. Slow feet. Methodical. Could be massively powerful but hasn't done the weight room work yet, though he is still really young. Lowe completely outplayed him. Stone could not get post position on Lowe, and couldn't defend Lowe when Lowe would face up on him. Lowe has footwork, ballhandling ability, body control, can shoot with range, pass, and plays tough. Lowe hit a 3 over him, drove past him repeatedly while finishing through contact. Lowe will be rated in the state's top 5 in the state by the end of the season. Stone and Looney are both high character kids and strong students. As players, Looney is on pace to be the best player to ever come out of Wisconsin. Easy choice of Looney over Stone. Duane Wilson was even more phenomenal than Lowe. Awe-striking player. Best senior in the state, far better player and prospect than Bronson Koenig. Wilson is righthanded but repeatedly dunked with his left hand. He also knocked down numerous 25' 3s, was awesomely explosive, he shut down Botz when he was defending him, and passed extremely well. Total package. Dominican looked extremely under-coached, and will really miss former coach Paul Wollershiem. Their decision to match stone with Lowe was a terrible one, and they made no in-game adjustments.

I have not watched Diamond Stone and have not made a priority to go to a game yet until I start reading better reports on his game. Sometimes the first kids to get big get ranked pretty high early. I think of Evan Anderson, he was highly recruited and ranked, yet watching him play it was obvious he couldn't play a bit of high level hoops. Not saying Stone is the same, just that I am not using my time until I know that he isn't a dud.
Even if Stone is a dud, it is still good that Lowe took him to the woodshed. It is really important for Lowe to develop that mentality and also show he can get his game off against size and not just against smaller less athletic guys than him.
I have watched Duane Wilson in the past, he was awesome as a freshman. I think he is going to be really good for MU.

"just that I am not using my time until I know that he isn't a dud".
That is why I go see them now, with my own eyes and measure their progress in the future. Unless I personally know the reporter on the board, I don't have a benchmark to go off of. Much like watching Cerroni after his freshmen year, and his overall development.
By the way did anyone notice Kading's shot last night, compared to the shot put release he had in High School? Kudo's to NDSU's staff, and Chris for the work they put in during his red shirt year.
