With Noah gone I think the team we thought we would see last year and the team we saw at the end of the year will show up this year.
You can’t just replace a player of the year with another one especially when you’re a mid major like gb.
My prediction is we see the growing pains we expected last year all season and this team finishes with 12-13 wins but is a tough out every night.
2025-26 is when I think Sunny takes the step that gets him a promotion, provided Douglas and Hall stay and are a formidable 1-2 punch to go along with Bennett.
Now if Sunny can get a 6-8 or 6-9 transfer that’s built and a force inside I would reconsider my prediction for this year. But unfortunately he doesn’t seem interested in doing that for some reason. I hate to say it but how good would this team have been with a Cade Meyer this year? He can’t shoot for shit but down low he was a force which is what they need.

Interesting even with all the new players Bennet doesn’t redshirt I hope not I watched him play in the state championship game with stitches in his lip. He’s tough.

It’s way too early with all the moving parts of the transfer portal to make any sort of realistic prediction. Let the dust settle after the Phoenix add a handful of impact players and compare the moves that the rest of the league made.

The program is very interested in getting big men via the portal.
Those guys have the most recruiting options of anyone, even the below average guys.
There are loads of 10 ppg guards but only so many 6'9" guys that can contribute. GB unfortunately has to look for guys that are diamonds in the rough and even those guys have lots of options.
I would expect them to end up with some big guys with efficient stats but low volume that need to prove they are 20+ mpg players.

With five or six open scholarships we cannot make an intelligent projection of the 24-25 season. Noah Reynolds was a catalyst type player who made others better and opened up the court for open three point shots. All it takes is one special player to provide the spark. The Nix have something to offer a post player that other schools might not have -- pretty well assured court time if they have a work ethic.

Has anybody been heard anything about a potential postseason ban? Talking to some recruits the staff is telling people they have a postseason ban for 2024-2025. no conference tournament and NO NCAA. Word is it is because of APR points and remnants of Will Ryan era. This comes from a very trusted source.
Does anybody know anything about this? Could be why recruiting is slowing down.

Probably confusing, and taking advantage of, the slap on the hands from last year where they were found to be underfunding some of the Olympic sports to meet the Division I number of sports offered to maintain their D-1 status.

I'm told there's absolutely nothing to it.

Didn’t GB just land 2 players within the past week? I didn’t realize recruiting was slowing down

I'm also gonna cast doubt on this. You're allowed to appeal APR bans so most likely the only real chance they have one is if they've had two appeals turned down. I don't see anyone on the 2022-23 roster who has absolutely exhausted eligibility, so I don't think they'd be able to count against the APR score.

Danilo jonakovich from Louisville who’s from Milwaukee could bring shooting as a big. We have one scholarship left. I doubt it. You probably would have heard about it already.

How long have you known about Danilo going to Milwaukee? So no post season ban? Milwaukee fans were complaining about bigs all season? Is Danilo the upgrade at big?
