Green Bay has 2 players for the All- Freshman team returning. When was the last time that happened? I'm surprised some continue to act like the roster completely incinerated. Not to mention two 8ppg scorers in Preston and Foster that seem to be very pleased to be in GB. These guys had minimal stats before arriving and seem to be a big part of the core roster moving forward.

It sure does make it harder for a college sports fan to stay engaged with their favorite team. It's one thing for little-used bench warmers to want to look for an opportunity to play somewhere else, but when front line players leave, it just makes one wonder if it's worth buying tickets, buying the gear and following the team at all. We all enjoy sports and cheering for the "local" team, but part of the enjoyment is cheering for and supporting the players. If they're going to show no loyalty and desire to stay with the team and all we're relegated to doing is watching their breakout year knowing that they're gone to the highest bidder as soon as the season is over, it ruins the sports experience. I said early on in the NIL process that the transfer portal and NIL dollars would deeply harm mid-major programs like the teams in the Horizon League. Do you think for one second that Keifer Sykes would have played four years for GB if the portal had been around back then? How about Jeff Nordgaard? Tony Bennett might have even considered it. And there are dozens of other players who would have transferred. Mid-major sports are left to hit a lucky year to be successful. They can't develop a true "team" when they're constantly scrambling to find players to fill a roster. They are almost like the Green Bay Rockers and other teams in the Northwoods League. A bunch of faceless players with varying levels of talent that wear a uniform with Green Bay on the front. You cheer for them, but you're really cheering to watch and enjoy the sport with no real knowledge of anyone on the team. I'm not sure what the answer is. Hopefully there are people who are WAY smarter than me working behind the scenes to make college sports better than they are today. I've enjoyed sports my entire life and will likely still attend GB games as I can, as well as Badgers games and Marquette games, but when I see guys like Noah Reynolds and AJ Storr transferring after one season when we enjoyed their talents, both individually and with the team, it's very frustrating. Mr. Appleton fan sorry if misunderstanding but I was manager from 2015-2019 the portal has been around for a long time it’s a lot more used now yes. But keifer sykes loves uwgb to this day maybe if nil he would have looked at it differently but so would have any athlete in any sport.

If by "make better," you mean "find ways to extract every last penny there is to be made from these kids and institutions," then that is absolutely happening!

Noah Reynolds to TCU is the word I just got. No confirmation so take it with a grain of salt. I had a separate source that told me Utah State over a week ago but that one is far less trustworthy than this one.
Edit: Sounds like he never made it to Ole Miss. Still working on confirmation.

Vincent Brady committed to Missouri state. Maybe someone will take themselves out of the transfer portal not Noah Reynolds. Elijah jones would be great. Wade, Cummings I don’t see it. Antshak would be nice.

No, a subscribers-only Discord put it up and they have yet to miss this offseason for any coaching/transfers, so I trusted it enough to post here. Also, over half your scoring walked out the door, so yeah I'd call that an exodus.

And high majors, along with D2, D3, and NAIA. Everyone has the opportunity to steal from the level lower than them, except D3.

Pearson got his GB offer on 3/29.
He announced his decision on 4/19.
In the 21 days in between more players became available and have visited GB. We know recruiting is fluid, priorities change.
I would not be so sure that he picked a D3 over GB, when it's just as likely GB moved their recruiting priorities to other players.
