17 wins compared to last year is an unbelievable improvement. No reason to be upset because of a couple of losses to pretty decent teams. To me the real challenge is keeping the current talent while bringing in another Noah caliber player. This year is a great first step in the right direction. Hats off to the team and the coaches.
And lets get a a road win this weekend!

Players will WANT to come here because they see how close we are to a championship. Portal Kombat will be fierce! But let’s not throw in the towel on this year yet. Big things to accomplish.

A few thoughts from the weekend:
-Resch over the Kress all day. Options for food/drink at the game and before/after the game are night and day different. If the Kress had 4 food vendor options inside and another 1,000 in seating I could see the argument but the Resch is the best venue. Also UWGB is 2nd fiddle as far as a client for the Resch. The Gamblers game on Saturday this past weekend drew almost 7,500 people. It was a special promotional night coupled with an expo in town next door but GB wouldn't get that sort of crowd without a major opponent
-Friday night was a flashback to Coach Ryan's era. Flat, no energy and got whooped. Sunday was much better as far as a home atmosphere and team energy but didnt have enough juice to take control of the game. The results this weekend are disappointing but it isn't a season ender either
-This team lacks an inside presence on bith ends of the floor. When our outside shots don't fall we tend to stand around too much. If you keep this roster together, add a slashing guard and a big man, and we challenge to win conference next year
Let's find 1 win in the next 2 and see waht happens going into March. Gotta hope Noah heals up because if he is feeling good we are a tough out come tourney time

When you see Jacob Antshak in person he is all 6’8 250 lbs. He keeps on working on his body. Wow could be an interesting player. Hope uwgb keeps him. He’s big. Could really be an anchor shot blocking brick wall in the paint. Watching Mac Wrecke in lay up in person this weekend he’s athletic was dunking. His shot needs to keep shooting this summer. But adds an athletic wing. Will be good to Amari Jedkins to add another athletic shot blocker next season. Could you bring in Donovan short? Maybe? Could Gus Yalden from Appleton transfer maybe? The are looking at a big juco Angelo winkel 6’8 240 lbs. Would add size in the paint. Maybe Detroit mercy oton jankovic could be interested in him in the portal?

Gotta hope Noah heals up because if he is feeling good we are a tough out come tourney time I took in my first true Green Bay basketball game experience at Kress in game against Youngstown. I had been there before but GB was playing a D3 opponent. I can see why people prefer the Resch over the Kress. Concessions and congestion = confusion. A guy I was with walked out to main lobby only forgetting that the main lobby is "outside the ticket area". Also, was it just me or is the marketing microphone hard to hear? Media timeouts have plenty of time. They would rush on the court and barely explain the sponsor and what was taking place. All of sudden you look and it is over. Can't imagine sponsors love that. Also, maybe I just don't receive them unless you opt in but does the athletic department send weekly/daily game day reminders with specials, ticket codes, etc?
