Patrick Sumenick back in the portal. Coach McCabe has a relationship with him. I’m sorry but uwgb has to get him. Uwgb basically gets a millionth chance. To get the hometown Denmark, Wisconsin kid. Which is 5 minutes away from campus.

Which is 5 minutes away from campus. This one is a no-brainer for a variety of reasons. Brings the veteran experience necessary, too.

There’s already a bunch people in his Twitter telling him to come back to West Virginia really be just left why would go back a few days later? If he made the move to DePaul just got make a little move up to Green Bay. I get why uwgb wouldn’t get Patrick suemenick. He seems to want to play for p5 schools which means big nil.

Transfer caleb Hunter from Mercer has uwgb in his final 4. Son of former nba player Lindsey Hunter. Would give with experience. I mean you do in Rudy just more experience.

Perhaps the strangest final four I’ve seen: Mississippi State, Denver, Cal St-San Bernardino, and GB. I almost think it’s a troll and he knows where he’s going and just picked three other random teams. Good veteran presence I suppose, but very meager stats and he seems like quite a strange dude based on his social media. If he can play defense, sure, bring it.

Without talking about a specific recruit, I'd just say any college needs to go three deep in players who can play point guard. My guess is Coach Doug and Company have been swamped with people pitching prospects. Late in the recruiting cycle is when the biggest mistakes are made. Homework, patience and getting the paperwork together -- it all takes time, but it is time well spent.

Caleb Hunter has uwgb in his top 4. Coach McCabe and Patrick Suemnick have a relationship from West Virginia. Will that translate to Patrick wanting to come home to uwgb who knows.

Uwgb gets another freshman Ayden goll. From marshfield,Wisconsin. Good scorer. He had 27 points in a games so guessing good scorer. Uwgb gets younger. Desean and glen they might have had interest in but couldn’t get. Hopefully can get Patrick. Caleb Hunter makes his decision tomorrow. I don’t want Bennet baisch to redshirt to good in my opinion. He has chemistry with Mac playing together in high school at arrowhead.

Ayden Goll will be a preferred walk-on. Huge respect for kids that bet on themselves. Welcome to Green Bay!

This has been a pretty successful 24 hours.
Johnson is a day one starter and guy that should kick butt in the Horizon league.
Oselka has great length, skill and feel. As he adds strength he should make a nice contribution. Plus it gives GB two guys with length which was really missing last year.
Goll isn't big in stature but he has big time skills. He is a really nice player as a PWO.

Not technically transfers but we can talk about them here.
Anytime you can add a 6'11" guy with some skill like Roee Oselka is awesome. He will officially be listed as a freshman but he'll be ~21 years old it seems like and have had good experience playing for the Israel youth national teams and in the pro league over there.
And holy shit, beating out Texas A&M and Florida for Jeremiah Johnson is a huge feather in the cap for Gottlieb and his staff. Yeah he'll be a starter on day one. Another guy that will be a freshman but older than the typical freshman and at 6'4" will have good size for a point guard.
Fantastic news today, hopefully everybody gets on campus soon so they can start getting acclimated.

As a guy who attended UW-Green Bay's first ever men's basketball game and have followed the program since -- the developments of the past two months are difficult to process. Because of the trials of the past five years I felt a radical and unorthodox approach was need to breath life into the program. Sundance Wicks was an electric cattle prod to the system. Doug Gottlieb's hit the ground running recruiting haul is mind boggling. The exposure for the program in the last 60 days has been unprecedented. The only remaining question is can this roster play together as a team. OK, I have another question, is this a temporary fix or can this be the foundation of something that is sustaining?
