It’s how coach wicks did it. What hints are there? I’m aware, I’m saying it’s unnecessary. “Bat signals” etc are pointless

Fun for fans gives the team athletic department time. What hints are there who it could be?

Fun for fans gives the team athletic department time. What hints are there who it could be? My point is, what does the athletic department “need time” for?

I don't think it's generally going to be about the athletic department at all. They are always going to be later after all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed. The player posting it to social media or someone else leaking it will come first.
It's May 22 and there are five guys on the team. Something needs to happen.

A couple things to consider, schools have lost recruits because of word getting out prematurely, better to make sure all things are cool -- how does the recruit and famiuly want the information released, is all the paperwork in order and yes, how do we maximize the fan buzz with the news release. With social media we see coachings staffs and schools teasing signings and offers to feed the Internet beast and hopefully pump interest in their program. (That is we're seeing stuff online for offers for kids who won't make a commitment for a year or two.)

I guess I’m a bit jaded because I study social media and teach about its effects for a living, “hype” and “buzz” are just capitalist phenomena to commodify these kids. Treating and teasing them like the new gadget to be released for the holiday season I guess is dehumanizing, to me anyway, so I’d rather them just make regular announcements.

Brock heffner and Terrance Thompson are in the transfer portal any chance at them? Brock Heffner has to make sure he has enough PTO at Kwik Trip if he's gonna play next season. Seriously, you guys can do a lot better. He had one truly magnificent game, it was at my expense, let him have his moment in Phoenix history and get the next guy. The new commitment asked him two questions: 1) "Can I get in the gym 24 hours a day"? 2) "Are we going to win"? I’d hope so on both of those accounts, but according to who? 1) We didn't have this at Milwaukee until September 2023. The Klotsche Center is locked at 10 pm. It's like the Kress Center in that it's a building for use of the entire student body, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Kress is closed. I remember one time when I was a freshman and some of us were hanging out after a women's volleyball game, a couple of our men's team players were shooting shots and the Klotsche personnel came to boot the players. Keep in mind I was the only one who wasn't, you know, a scholarship basketball player. They told Joah Tucker that he had to wrap it up at 10 pm. Joah Tucker. The guy who hung 31 points on Illinois in the Sweet 16 some six months prior. The crap our teams had to deal with over the years is ridiculous. I was at the scorer's table for a women's team practice and we got booted from the gym for intramural dodgeball. Most days you'd be at a basketball practice on the game surface and one of the side courts would have the volleyball team, the track team would be running around the track, the swim team would be stretching on the east side against the bleachers and a baseball player would be swinging at the pitching machine. Hard to hear Jeter talk when you've got pings from a metal bat, the volleyball coach shouting and all the sneakers pounding the track. So I'd say it's a very important question to ask. I don't think that's been an issue with GB though. The players I knew back in college had keys to the Kress from the day it opened, so I'd be shocked if that changed. Interestingly enough, back in the early-to-mid-90's we did have Engelmann Gym on campus that was one court and they'd keep it open 24/7 over the summer for PRIME pickup basketball. Bucks players, Marquette players, Badgers, guys from Wisconsin who were coming back to town, I wouldn't be shocked to find out Nordgaard and Bennett found their way into that gym back in the day. Sometime in the last ten years they took out the basketball floor in there and replaced it with FieldTurf so our soccer players had indoor workout space on campus. Shame. I guess we're trying to do the same thing with the new OHOW Center because I keep running into Bucks players. Bobby Portis was working with Lethal Shooter there last fall, a couple weeks ago Thanasis Antetokounmpo tore his achilles on the floor. Oops.

Uwgb got 6’8. Donovan santoro from providence. His biggest thrill is winning. It says on the providence roster must of did a interview. Played against Wisconsin and Marquette.

It’s a start. We need 7 more. Hope Doug can get at least Amari and DD to come back to GB.

Maybe ice emery comes back. But not likely. He liked a tweet that said life changing mistake de committing from and transferring. This Donovan guy is a wing. 6’8 played against Marquette and Wisconsin played at p5 big time talent right now a possible starter.
