First conference game of the year against a pretty hot team I would say. I see Purdue Fort Wayne was picked to be only 8th in the conference in the Horizon preseason poll, but I think they are are exceeding that so far, coming in to this game with a 6-1 record. Looks like the line has us at around 11 point underdogs. 6PM tipoff

This is a battle of opposites.
PFW plays fast, with lots of guards and is willing to give up points.
Green Bay plays slow and wants to lock down on defense.
GB is statistically better at sharing the ball and rebounding but not as good as shooting.
I think Elijah Jones is primed for a big game tonight. I like this matchup for him.

This is about a future game former Phoenix player player Terrance Thompson started against Detroit he plays for siu edwardsville who uwgb plays in a couple of weeks he’s 250 lbs now he 10 points against them. Where they dominated Detroit. Terrance Thompson is average 5 points and 4 boards not a whole lot better then what he did a uwgb but is contributing. Will be interesting if he’s plays against his former team.

So far, PFW and Oakland seem to be the teams to beat in the Horizon League, so we could be starting off conference play with one of the toughest games on the schedule. Current line is PFW -10.5 which is honestly a little closer than I expected. My big question is how we’ll play on the road. I know GB got a win on the road at Montana St, but it’s going to take a much better game than that if they want to beat PFW. We haven’t been blown out by a mid major team yet, and I see that trend continuing. My prediction is 72-66 PFW. My predictions have been pretty bad this season, so I hope I’m wrong again and they find a way to pull out another win.

Tonight is a tall task, but I like that CC gets to get a game in to get acclimated before the must win Milwaukee game.

It’s early in the season but I love how this team plays with effort and these guys want to win. Being down 10 and then going on a 8-0 run to cut the lead and playing good defense is something we haven’t seen especially last year we all know once last years team went down they would’ve gave up

Also it’s good to have CC back, Green bay is about to wake up a lot of people with a complete roster

Piggy-backing off the effort point, there’s been 3 loose balls in this game and all of them have gone to GB. Love seeing the fight in this team.

The lead swings back and forth, but no matter how this ends, I'm impressed at this teams rocketing improvement.

Appleton's Max Nelson continues to hit 3 after 3, but had now picked up his 4th foul with just over 7 minutes left. GB had been attacking off the dribble all game, and you can bet they'll go right at Nelson.

Nelson fouls out with just under 5 minutes left. GB down 3.

GB falls short, 75-71. Heck of an effort on the road. GB is improving rapidly and will have a shot every night.

Man, what a fun game. Sucks it ended like that, but I’ll never be upset about a loss after an effort like that. GB is going to compete well in the Horizon League though, that much is for certain. Bring on the Panthers.

Last year's team would have folded after falling behind by 10 early, but this is a different team. Turn overs were a problem with the last one really hurting but the free throw disparity really killed them. Life on the road. Nelson would have looked good at Green Bay.
