As good as seeing them win last night felt, the celebration is short lived as they’re back at it 24 hours later. While they won’t have to deal with a home town crowd in this one, they are at a disadvantage having to play on short rest after a game that went to OT, against a rested Riverside squad. In most cases I’d say this spells disaster for the Phoenix, but UC Riverside hasn’t looked very impressive to start the season, getting blown out by all D1 teams they’ve faced and beating an NAIA team by 7. Seems like GB should be able to make a game of this one, and if my hope is that they use the energy from the win last night to fuel them to another win today.

Stinks there is no TV or radio for tonight’s game. Should have been in the contract that they would have broadcasted todays game regardless if MSU was playing or not.
O well! UCR’s leading scorer is a freshman who has shot about 50 percent from downtown. Will be an interesting match up for either Preston or Noah.
There’s about 8 or so GB fans who traveled to watch the game in Montana, I KNOW they will bring the noise and do everything to bring home this bucket!
Go Phoenix!

Wow guys fought all the way to the end.
Team shot 54% from three which is promising to see. I think we lost this game due to the 12 turnovers and catching UCR on a hot shooting night. Obviously couldn’t watch the game so I couldn’t tell if it was execution or not on why they shot well.
They average 31% for FG, tonight they shot 46%.
Overall a successful trip out West. Safe travels back home and let’s get the Resch rocking on Saturday!

At least the game they won was the one that was on tv.

One of the things I want out of this year's team is improvement over last year. I believe we have that. Now let's hope for continuous improvement.

One of the things I want out of this year's team is improvement over last year. I believe we have that. Now let's hope for continuous improvement. Looking at stats, the glaring difference between the two teams is turnovers. The other key categories were all good for the Nix. On the surface this team seems better than last years team, a low bar but better none the less.

GB assisted on 2/3 of their made baskets.
GB was only -1 on the glass vs a much bigger team.
GB did get behind by double digits twice and cut the lead significantly both times.
Rich Byhre had a very effective offensive game against a team with size. He was struggling with that as recently as a week ago.
Losing stinks but adding it all together I have a lot of confidence that this team is going to have a decent season as they get more time together at full strength.
