Originally verbaled to UM-Duluth way too early in high school. He had a breakout senior season, GB and Milwaukee talked with him. Milwaukee offered a walk-on with a scholarship after freshman year. Initially got caught in the shuffle in GB. Opted for UMass-Lowell, a D1 school but left quickly and ended up at Boise State. He's an undervalued prospect. Listed at 6-5...6-6 range.

Since he has transferred once will he have to sit out this year unless he gets a waiver?

I always thought he wanted to play for GB coming out of high school and when he transferred from UMass Lowell. Now it finally worked out. He received and accepted that scholarship in a hurry based on that tweet.
I have no clue when he will be able to play or what year he will be classified as. He hasn't played a lot of games so far in his D1 career and with all of the new rules it's a guessing game for a novice like me.
He has got a D1 body for his position and is a swiss army knife type player. I'm imagining he's stronger than when he was high school. I can easily see him doing Kam Hankerson type things for GB.
He seems happy to be playing for GB and is definitely part of the fence. Welcome home and I look forward to seeing what he can do.

Another good athlete, and a relief to see GB is still recruiting athleticism. I know Ryan's system works, but it works best with a mix of skill and athleticism. If GB went without athletes, they'd be stuck playing ugly basketball like Gards Badgers.

I'm pretty sure Coach Swanson worked at Boise St when Leon Rice started at Boise State. I'd imagine Coach Rice might have shared an inside look on Ivory and his ability to impact a Horizon League game in the near future.

Ivory is expected to play this year with a waiver. Boise State is at a pretty high level of basketball and it sounds like he should be ready to contribute to GB after going up against some really good players in practice for the past year plus.
