With that said when I look at what GB has for sure coming in they need a stretch big man for sure. A guy like Barlow Alleruzzo has been around GB recruiting circles for awhile. He would fit in now and be a two year commitment. Kristian Lafayette, Blake Verbeek, Hidde Roessink or Gavin Bizeau would need waivers to play right away but are under the radar guys with some range. So it turns out that I was aiming too low to find big men as most of the guys I mentioned ended up at lower levels of basketball. That actually makes me feel pretty confident that GB isn't settling for guys. Kristian Lafayette is the last of these guys to commit, he is going to D2 Colorado Pueblo. Blake Verbeek is going to D2 Grand Valley State. Gavin Bizeau is going to NAIA Marion. Hidde Roessink is the only guys stayin in D1 going to UMKC. Barlow Alleruzo IV committed to Eastern Illinois. Assuming there is a season we will get to see him at the Resch Center after all. At some point in this thread I had mentioned Connor Niego. As far as I can tell he has not committed anywhere yet. His older brother played at Hillsdale while Pritzl was coaching there and he played at Holy Cross while Freddie Owens was coaching there. I thought maybe that he would surface in GB with those connections. Finally, I see the GB roster is starting to get updated. I didn't see Cem on it yet. I saw a picture of him in GB with Coach Ryan so there must be some other reason why he ins't listed on the official roster yet.

As a walk on since it looks like the scholarships are filled for this year?

As a walk on since it looks like the scholarships are filled for this year? I was circling back on guys we talked about. I thought Niego made sense as a possible player to watch due to his connections with the coaching staff but that was before GB finalized their roster. I will be curious to see where he does end up playing. Another name I think that was on here was Courtese Cooper. He is going to Florida International. Sorry for the confusion.

It’s almost the start of the school year a couple of weeks so there can’t be a ton of time for Moore and Angold to file waivers if they haven’t already hopefully they did

A waiver is not worth it this season. The best course is work on the books and building their game.

You see ever transfer file a waiver and get a waiver I think someone said Moore is the only one who has a chance to play this season if he files a waiver he should having another player wouldn’t be bad and he has 3 years of eligibility so he can get better while playing there’s really no harm in him filing a waiver

Yesterday hoops dirt posted a director of operations position for uwgb it will be interesting if they add one right now on keil ganz it says he’s a former coach so probably won’t be him wondering if anyone knows who it could be? There’s a lot of smart former recent uwgb and badger players it would be good to have a recent former uwgb player They also posted the position on the schools website available to apply until august 30th

The addition of Kamari McGee to the 21-22 roster looks very promising, his highlight films look good. Just curious, doesn't that put Ryan over the limit on scholarships?

In this day of college basketball you have to always prepare for a transfer to happen. If it doesn’t happen? Well then coach will have to make that decison.

To what say to kamari, Dailey, or meyer go somewhere else we don’t actually have a scholarship like we thought we might because we thought someone would transfer like there was mass exodus this offseason

In these times transfers do happen all the time so I am sure that will likely happen. If not I would guess the likely choice would be Jiovanni Miles, he was a walk on that the Athletic Director gave a scholarship. That seemed strange to me. Especially over Lucas Stieber who is Dick Bennett's grandson.

The last time I checked the D1 per team transfer rate was 2.4 transfers per year. God knows what the impact of COVID-19 will be. Things have a way to work out.

You mean more transfers or more players don’t transfer?
