I knew we would. Great win, but can they follow it up with a win @iupui? Cause otherwise it means nothing.

Called it. 15 miss fts they did all they could to give it away. Linc always does just enough not to get fired.
Now on the road to lose at IUPUI!

Great win! Needed that one to keep us from falling to the bottom of the league. Hopefully they can build some momentum off this and get a few road wins.

I'm going to enjoy this for what it was, an entertaining win over the best team in the league.
Thanks to the guys for pulling this one out!

But it was a win, to your point yes missed ft's but they offset that elsewhere. Hard to complain when they beat a 19-5 team, split with the 2 best teams in the conference. That is hope for the future and a recruiting win. Yes we may follow that up with poor losses but at least they show they can be competitive. GO nix! I would say Linc did enough to win. Glass half empty or half full.

If the team stays healthy anything could happen in the conference tournament. A series of injuries and Tank being lost for the season has had a toll. The Nix entered the season with a narrow margin for error and things got even tighter. The scheduling insured some money games that were needed for the budget. GB showed something to me in those matchups. Let's see how the hand plays out through February and March. More athleticism will be added to the roster in 20-21. The life of a mid-major program. It just shows you how hard it was for Dick Bennett to achieve what he did with the Nix program.

I mean in the grand scheme of things, we are in the exact same spot as Wright State, anyway. Anything less than a HL conference tourney title gets us to the dance. So, while we are still below .500, I suppose there is no reason to panic if we lose to IUPUI. A hell of a win for sure, first game I missed all year only because I was sick! A few days in March is all it takes. As poor as we’ve played, I honestly could see us winning the tourney because this league has been so inconsistent this year.

Linc does enough to keep his job and this program is still in a hamster wheel, and the will likely lose to IUPUI (again), but the bad FTs last night is really due to one player.....Josh McNair. He was 3-11 at the line. Everyone else who was on the FT line missed 1 or 2 FTs; McNair missed 8. Take his bad FT stat line out, the team is 78% from the line.....I don't know if I want him on the court in late game situations.

Maybe it's just me but are they using a different method of counting attendance now vs a few years ago? Seemed like a much bigger crowd than 1990, but maybe it was more about the crowd really being into the game late and helping the guys hold on. I really wanted to see Linc foul Wright State with 4.1 seconds left vs giving them a look at the tie- every coach is different but with WSU taking it out of bounce- was the ideal situation to foul on the catch.
5 straight on the road- all teams tied or below us in the standings. This weekend with IUPUI (our nemesis) and UIC (won 5 of 6) will say alot.

The crowd on Sunday did prove one thing, the Resch can have a good atmosphere despite its size. The Kress crowd on Friday was dead even when GB was winning. The crowd yesterday was lively, especially when it mattered most.
